Well I have finally begun, I have don't one plant prior however that turned out to be a male and thus had to be put down . I have now started 24 Seeds with the intention of getting 12 little bud plants and having a nice little garden. I will post pictures later of my little tray. The only question I have at this point is how people start their seeds.

I know that, I meant more about seeds in peat pods, how do people handle light, I tried searching and found mixed answers, does anyone have a definitive answer that has tried various methods.

Right now i have 12 pods with 2 seeds each, with 3 45Watt CFL Bulbs above them, I put a somewhat clear tray on top because I thought direct Light was bad for them, but i am having doubts.

That was where my question was heading.

no tray needed. Just keep them moist and above 70 degrees and they will flourish in 48 hours or so. The tray will impede their growth when they bust out of the pod.

ok ill take it off, its not a flat tray actually just a tupperware container which is about 5in deep, so direct light is cool for them, k, thanks

for now you could even turn off a light or 2. You do not need intense light beaming down on them at this time. As they break the pods you can then turn on the lights to keep them from stretching out.
