High everyone,
I'm a new member on this site based in Wales and just started growing a couple of plants from seeds I collectedfrom my smoke.
I started growing them in June in standard compost with natural light (at a window) indoors. I haven't got a clue what I'm doing!
They are both 6 ft tall now and started to budso I separated them by moving one into another room because I ddidn't know if one would polinate the other??? I have a few questions if anyone is willing to help a novice who is sick and tired of paying too much to have a smoke.
1. Any ideas what type it is? seeds came from suspect thai.
2. How can I tell the gender of each pllant??
3. My leaves are curling why? What can I do to stop this??
4. I'm using tomato feed at the moment (NPK fertilizer solution containing magnesium 4-4.5-8) is this alright? how should I be feeeding it? on the soiil or sprayed on foliage ( the feed instructions says avoid the foliage but I don't know if that is specific to tomatoes)?
5. The buds are only small at the moment, slightly bigger than a pea but 50+ per plant, Any ideas how big they will grow? and when to harvest?
6. Do I feed right up til harvesting?

I appologise for the essay but everyttimee I look for info online, I'm not sure if it is right for this particular plant or the info is a little to indepth for my simple self!
Any help would be much appreciated...
Cheers Inc

Hey Incubus,

Plant does look thai. If you see white hairs (buds forming) it's a female. If you see clusters of balls, it's a male. I don't know why your leaves are curling. Keep feeding on the soil. The buds will get bigger. Harvest looks to be about 70-80 days away. Feed until 2 weeks before harvest.

Good luck!

Yes you have a couple sativas on your hands, they take a while to properly finish but the buzz is sought after. In the 2nd picture, the plant looks thirsty.

Well I've just instructed my head gardener (the wife) to get her @ss in gear and get it watered. You just can't geet the staff these days!! lol

water by soil, mix your nutes with water.(never used that always used stuff from the hydro store id suggest that if possible) ya can stick your finger knuckle deep and if the soil feels dry it normally ready ya can always do the weight test lift the pots when the feel really light then its time to water if ya over water the plant you can kill it. ya might want to invest on a ph tester or the strips are cheap. feed with nutes untill two weeks before harvest them just ph water. get a fan on them if ya dont have one already. you should consider lolipoping them. which means you trim off some of the lower bracnches to promote bigger colas on top. as far as time depends on if its sativa or indica hard to tell from the pics indica 52ish days satvia 70ish ya have to watch the color of the hairs and tricomes of the buds when the hairs turn red and the tricomes start to turn from clear to cloudy then from cloudy to amber ya want to pick in that stage. cloudy upbet high, amber couch lock high. good luck what kind of light are you using. qwerty im sure know his strains better than me so hes probally right on the sativa. good luck.

im no expert....but the the pot your plant is currently in looks a bit small for the size of that plant.

umm good question im not sure i wouldnt see why. may want to double check that. it may stress and stuntting growth a little for a short period of time but better than a root bound plant that slowly dies. good luck feel free to ask any questions

that's a cool window plant incubus . Reminds of cheech n chong for some reason :)

Repotting should be fine, I've heard doing it at night helps, I like to spray the roots and the new hole with some Superthrive or Canna Rhizotonic mixture when its out of the old pot. Don't water them too much.
