Blue Green Crack Dream

I don't grow, but I wish I did because I would cross Green Crack with Blue Dream and call it "Blue Green Crack Dream." I mixed them tonight and loaded the mixture into my vaporbong. It was very tasty I have to say.

Question: What difference is there in (a) grinding two buds from two different strains like I did here with (b) creating a separate cross-strain?

since the first cross of 2 different strains is uniform, it might not be too different. but taste and smell would probably change drastically

in short - mixing two buds annd smoking them you're gonna have everything each strain has to offer, breeding the two some plants will have dominant traits over the other.
im sure someone will stop by and explain in detail, as i am not a breeder :D

huge difference. cross two strains once, and gow out the beans you will have several different phenotypes (expressions of the plant). The less stable the strains in the cross the more phenos you have. The plant with the most dominate traits will be shown in most of the plants. also males and females generally contibute certain traits more often then others. Also it will be naturally just one high. If you just blend two buds, one of the types will generally over power the other. Also if you mix a very powerful sativa with a very powerful indica, you will a different experience than smoking a well balanced potent hybrid.

Cool, thanks for the responses, that makes sense. I guess for a practical experiment I can go buy some Headband since I already have some Sour Diesel and OG Kush sitting at home. That will be fun. In the meantime, someone should be working on the new Blue Green Crack Dream strain so I can buy it!

please don't call it blue green crack dream lol

green crack is an insult to weed in general(the name i mean)

common it's like the dealers will tell the buyers, this weed will make you dream about crack in blue and green colors

Sounds like an interesting mix, im not a big fan of "green crack" either. When its the real deal its good stuff, but alot of kids will call their run of the mill green crack because its good for hyping up product. I have seen a bunch of different stuff peddled as GC even in the clubs.

But if someone could cross Blue Dream with some purple, that would be MONEY. Blue Dream is one of my favorite strains, its got that real unique ass pungent smell and the smoke is so strong it smells like incense. It just never has color and is never blue haha, usually bright green with orange hairs. If someone could make some Dream come out with a purplish tint that would be some good bad appeal.

I seen some Sour Diesal x Purple Fire that was real good, looked like Sour but had a fruity smell and had purple tint on half the nugs. That dude is trying to create a newwave strain.

My blue dream purped... if I had left it out for another week it would have purped hard. Happened most on the lower littles... and I didn't keep any of that stuff for my head or I'd take pics.

N i agree wit u guys they def needa use Blue Dream as a mama in some breeding projects she might b my first mama to a breeding project

Mix her wit some afghan Haze from MNS make some "Blue Daze" (for those sad blue days to make u happy again;))

Blue Dream is already a haze cross. Dunno if it needs to be crossed to another Haze (cutesie name notwithstanding)...

Its kind of a holy grail strain as it is... specially for an outdoor garden. Amazing yield, smell, taste, high. It would be ineteresting to see a cross retain the vigor an yield and change the taste and smell properties. But you;d be hard pressed to improve upon the BD, IMO.

Yea i've herd its blueberry sativa x nevs haze or ssh

but i don't think adding afghan haze to it will b too hazy

Shanti jus recently came out wit Angels Breathe thats afghan Haze x mango haze my cross would b pretty close to that wit added blueberry

She does hav a great high n yield already n her taste is great but adding afghan haze i believe would keep both yield n potency wit adding more or a larger spectrum of flavors

but yea i do agree wit u that she doesn't need to b crossed out but seeing that wer all lookin for greater things if u get the greats n put em together u can get more possiblilities of phenos

I agree that it is hard to improve upon Blue Dream and my OP was pretty much tongue-in-cheek. Before I switched over to vaporizer, I had been smoking chronically for over 15 years and Blue Dream is the only strain that never let me down, gets me super-high all the time. There are better tasting strains out there and I think the Green Crack (I agree with the name-haters) has a nice sweet taste that makes the Blue Dream taste better, at least in my vape-o-bong. I just smoked some this morning, but now I have this Headband experiment I have to try out. And my g/f thinks I have nothing to do today pfft.
