Looking for suggestions: Where to grow?

Hi, I have kids that don't know I smoke. I never do it in front of them and will keep it that way until they reach 21. I simple cannot grow in my house because the kids would find it as they cover ever square inch of this house when there over, and there over often (I'm divorced).

I want to do a small personal grow of quality bud and was looking for alternative suggestions for a site to grow. Outside is also out of the question because thats a once a year deal and I want to be able to harvest a pound ever 3/4 months.

I was thinking of renting a very small warehouse or office space, maybe 200/300 sq ft or moving to a house that has a separate wired workshop separated from the house. (I've been looking and they are hard to find)

These are the ideas I came up with and would appreciate any and all suggestions for how I can do a small indoor grow without my kids, nor anyone else finding out about it. Appreciate any suggestions on how I could possibly do this given the circumstances.

Put a storage building behind your house, insulate it and add a window unit. Put a few things in there from the house to pass it off with your kids that your actually using it for that.

Might cost you a couple thousand if you pay someone to put up a pre-made one from home depot and install insulation and a window unit a/c / heater. Just tell the installer you want climate controlled storage.

Convert an old fridge. 250 watt light, scrubber......and a lock on the fridge in the garage.

thanks for the suggestions so far, I will say I cannot afford a couple thousand to have a storage bin installed, I have child support to pay and that kills me each month and is one of the reasons I want to do the personal grow, so I can have some weed.

^^^Yup, or tell them it's a climate-controlled workshop. Even a small shed could have some workspace, and you only need a decent sized cabinet to grow your own. Check out the micro-grows here.

I have researched tents extensively and thats the way I am going to go. The problem is in finding a climate controlled place to put a tent.

If the money is an issue, you could just save up the rent you would otherwise pay for a location to grow in and buy the storage space then. Do most of the work yourself and you could get in under $2k I would think...
I know that means waiting a while before you get the grow going, but I think it might be a good option...

Adios, good luck!

I like this idea. I would like to hear more advice from those who have gone this route. I can see myself doing this in about 2 years or so when i finally get my degree. Anyone have any suggestions?

Well cman if you're graduating and moving is not an issue, just move to a house that has a room that you can dedicate to your hobby. Growing within a house (especially a well-picked one) is always going to be easier than trying to have the grow all happen within a shed in your backyard (even with a well-picked house).

Just throwin' this out there, but when you find a place of your own, you can look for a discrete area of the house and build a false wall. It doesn't have to be very wide or long, as long as it looks like it is supposed to be there, it will raise few questions. :2cents:

Yep. You can also build a false closet or book shelf to hide an entire bedroom... I just made a thread about that actually in Growroom Design and Equip
