if you could live anywhere in the United States

Have any of you dudes who aspire to live in the middle of nowhere actually lived in the middle of nowhere before?

What do you do all day? Genuine question. I understand that if you live in beautiful country a walk and exploration would be nice, but eventually wouldn't you like to enjoy the fruits of modern technology?

Just because it's 'the middle of nowhere' doesn't mean you have to go Amish, just about any modern technology can be taken/used anywhere.

Infact, I challenge you to name one that can't.

yeah i agree, as long as you have electricity and a vehicle, what's the difference? peace and quiet is the difference :)

Why I believe I would stay right where I am at (39*NorCal foothills ), maybe just more acres though. My family and I have everything imaginable to do around these parts, and I sure wouldn't change that for anything!!

definately HAS to be west coast....either northern cali somewhere in mendo because i love it up there.

or maybe oregon or the seattle/vancouver area.

i just want a nice quiet area where i can have a greenhouse, some acres to go hunting/hiking, and live in peace and be surrounded by nature instead of this urban jungle im in.

Like what? Was always curious what recreational stuff people did in norcal..jw. Thanks!

Greenbastard I hear you man. I guess I should say modern architecture. I don't know. I'm sort of in the middle. Young and a lot to learn about myself, and all that.

The thought of solitude like that sounds intriguing, purifying, but also kind of scary.

movingtocally......lets see.......hiking, biking, walking, off-roading of any kind, kayaking, boating, gold panning, fishing, hunting ,star gazing(most nights of the year),hot rodding, community events, gardening indoor /outdoor, farmers markets, and my all time favorite so far is taking my daughter & wife w/baby boy on the way to any park and having fun!!!
I'm sure there are other things to do, these are just some of the things my family and I enjoy, most of them done together as a family!!
