Help me get them trained!

Hello!
I love gardening!
This is my 4th grow; It is facinating, thrilling, & rewarding, isnt it?
I am hoping y'all can give me just a little help.

I have a 42 day Nirvana mystery female that I have recently topped.
I have 2 Mandala 8 Miles High & 2 California Orange Bud 17 days from seed.

I am growing in a gutted freezer. My wonderful husband is an electrician!
It has pretty good air flow and exhaust.
My (available) space space is 2'W x 2'D x 3'Tall
I am vegging under 600 watt CFL's and will add a 150 watt MH

I have been reading as much as I can about various forms of training. (I loved Kodiacs thread on training!)

My desire is to have short bushes using LST, or perhaps some type of SCROG.

I am wondering if I should continue to veg & train my older (42day) famale, while the other 4 veg a little longer.

I need to flower as quick as possible without sacrifising yeild. (dont we all)

If I flower all in two weeks, the Nirvana female will be at 8 weeks, and the COB and 8 Miles High will be about 4 and a half weeks. Is this too early to have a
good harvest yet keeping them within their space limits?

I'm excited about Mandalas 8 Miles High. I have read all of the threads here on ICMAG. I wonder how the high is!?

Thanks!

Hey Pixie,
Need a little more info really. My advise would be this,
2'x2' x 3' mmmmm, that is not a lot of space for all those plants especially as you are into lst & Scrog(you have a seperate veg cab-yes?), Personally i am an avid Scrog fan as you have probably guessed.
them dimensions would be ideal for Scrog' or Lst' for any 'one' plant really, especially after topping and 8 wk veg-wow-loads, you are going to have to cut a fair few branches out of there anyway i suspect(think spacing & an even canopy). 4 n half wk veg is pretty good for most speices, personally i work in 1m2 and always fill my scrog 70-80% before i switch to 12/12 (usually takes 4-6 wks)then use the first stretch in flower to fill the rest of my screen- (Tip-over kill your ventilation- i get 170 + air changes per hour). I always work it so i get a nice even canopy and make sure i dont pack too many potential cola's in there(60-70 Max or chance of mold), and i always use a 10 ltr dehumidifier- tis the only way to garentee NO mold, thats the last thing we need. my dimensions are 1m2 x 8' i use a 400w growlux and always yield 12-16 oz off 2 plants depending on breed.
I hope this helps!! Be-Lucky

hey pixi-welcome to the forum. I would have to agree with scrogerman on this, 2x2x3 is pretty small for that number of plants with that long of a veg. when you scrog, you're not going to gain anything off of the plant under the canopy...but you'll gain a bunch above it. That size setup should be good for one plant. good luck!

I have always supercropped my large strains so that they will fit my small space. You can bend and break your plants right up to the time they stop stretching.Just be gentle and you will not have a problem.Lots of people here recommend that you stop supercropping when you switch to 12/12 however you must do what you have got to do and I have never had a problem with this method.....Goodluck.....o.b.

Thanks every one for the replies! I guess I need to re-think things.

I actually have another small space...It is 2x2x6. I could go ahead & flower the older female next week at 6 weeks.

I dont want to flower too soon, but I don't want a monster either! I'm out and I want this to hurry!!

I think I will LST the 2 California Orange Bud and 2 8 Miles High to keep them bushed a little.

The pics are the older female that Im attempting to train. I topped it 5 days ago.

Comments and suggestions welcome!

Thanks

Hey Pixie',
'Seems like you are doing ok all by yourself(Nice-one) and your lst tec' looks like text book stuff.
I can see some minor issues on some of the leaves there that may need addressing but that is another story for now, they look fine. They will be going through a growth spurt right now filling out their side laterals (branches)as you have now moved the 'Auxin Hormone which resides in the 'Apical tip or main/merry stem to the tips of the lower branches(utility's), which in turn brings them on in a 'quite dramatic growth spurt! One of the main reasons i use a Scrog/Screen is that you have complete controll over the height of each and every Cola'.
If any laterals become vertically out of control you can gently pull on that paticular branch, down through the very hole it has grown up through(say 4 " for example, & set it where you want) you can then Using a Twisty Tie fix to the Screen each and every cola at the exact same height maximising light efficiency-Each Bud will then recieve the same amount of light. I love Scrog, its the only way for me. My dimensions are 1m2 x 8', i use a 400w Growlux & D.W.C, 170+ air exchanges p/H and never to forget a 10 ltr dehumidifier and yield 12-16 oz depending on breed, every time using Scrog' and only 2 plants, never more. 'Which keeps me very happy as you can imagine!! I hope this helps Pixie. 'Be-Lucky'
