Can i make my own nutrient solution

i had a smaller grow room before so a 1l bottle of GH floranova was enough for a few months, now with 6 rezervoirs of about 100gallons each it wouldnt last a day, plus in my country i have no hydro store only garden supplys for the field farmers,i need to make a solution so i can have a constant supply of the same nutients so i can setup a system like i did with the floranova,so when i mix nutes in the water i dont have to mesure it every time and waste time, what i do have in the stores are powder fertelizers witch are usualy used for soil nobody grows hydro here so i cant even talk about it at the store, they have these liquid ferts like only P or K and humic and fulvic acids and some proteins, and some seaweed fert. thAts only N and some micro nutes, then they have only micronutrients in a powdery form,is it possible for me to make my own fertelizer from these ingredients, how much of with one would i have to add to make the whole complex like the floranova

Hi Elito,
When I first got into hydro a few years back, I researched the idea of making ones own nutrient mix. This is what I found out.

The chemicals needed are usually available in 25 or 50 pound bags so. So the only people you find who mix their own nutes are greenhouse operators or large commercial operations. Sorry...

So one idea...and this is related to shipping. Buying nutes that are dry powders is a real advantage in terms of shipping. You don't pay shipping for water.

There's a dry nute thread around here somewhere. Maxi-grow and Maxi-bloom are great powdered hydro nutes that are available in fairly large quantities. Buy 25 pounds and you're good for years...

A place called eco-enterprises sells anywhere from small quantities up to 50 lb bags of all the mineral salts you would need. Ammonium nitrate, cobalt chloride, all that stuff. So in theory you could tailor your nutrients for your exact needs. But I don't know why you'd want to other than the pleasure of diy. Plenty of tried and true nutrient mixtures on the market.

But if you really want to, check out ecogrow.com It may not actually be on the website, but if you call and request a catalog, all the mineral salts they sell are in there. Including some chelated mineral salts .

im not into doing something like this for the pleasure of it,i dont have many options,u live in the us so u just go to the store and get what u need i dont have that luxury, what i need is a pecepie so then maybe i can find the ingredient and mix it myself, most of the powdery nutes here are from Netherlands and France some from Greece if not domestic witch is shity

I'll bet ecogrow ships internationally, but it's probably expensive.

The most important things are N-P-K. And a basic fertilizer for that is available anywhere. Getting fancy with fulvic acid and chelated minerals and all that...would be hard to do.

Elito,
You should just adjust your grow style to fit what's available locally. Forget hydro and grow with soil. Organic or with whatever nutrient is available locally.

I agree with EvilTwin. DIY is great and I too am interested in making my own nutrients for my ebb & flow and waterfarms. It seems like if you used manure (chicken, cow, horse...etc) and were able to find out the nutrients available you could make a tea of some sorts and top feed this way.
I've been trying to see a huge difference in my normal feed (GH 3 part v/ Bat Guano & Molasses) The guano tea is much cheaper to produce but so far my results are not as good as I thought they'd be.
There use to be a section in the old farmers almanac that had the NPK values of certain manures....perhaps this could help. If not this, there exists compost calculators that will allow you to make your own ferts. Sorry for the novel.

if there was a recepie with the ratios of primary, secundary and micro nutrients needed and the strenght of it then i could mix my own and wouldnt have to serch all over the place for the same stuff iv been using
