800w in a 4x3 one plants turning hermi. help

yeah, im just getting started with a similar setup, and had some problem with hermaphing too. My light isn't vented but have a vortex with a 4 " doing my tent, with plenty of ventilation. When did you first notice the balls starting?? I only started seeing them about 3 weeks into flowering, and the flowers were looking great. I wonder if its the environment thats causing them to herm, or do some seeds just do that from genetics??

looks like the lemon skunk is not going into the cab, height is a huge issue. Its just a freebie anyway. I wanted to get some L.A ultra from resin seeds, but they were out of stock. It looked like a good plant for my set up. I think the northern lights should workout fine, i have to research scrog more as next run im pretty sure im going to try that technique to improve yields.
And the hermie im almost positive it was the genetics, because from the very beginning of 12/12 i was skeptical of if it was male or female, because it showed both. thanks for the replies

You can have genetic hermies and environment hermies.

yeah around march i will germinate the lemon skunk and veg it till i can get like 25 clones or so off of it and throw them all outside to do their thing.

Paradise Opium if you can get. five weeks from seed under mh then flipped to 12/12 under hps both 400w...should finsih no more than 100cms. Lovely strain too.

Glad to hear you sorted your temps.

Light leaks are a massive factor in hermies.

yeah temps seem all good,right now im feeding 7.5 ml a gallon age old bloom, or 1/4 tsp kool bloom powder occasionally. the buds are growing pretty fast. my notes are saying 14 days since first bud sites. probably day 20 since first showing sex. So im not too sure how many days they are along. Theyre dropping leaves fast since cutting out the N I think i should have gave it another couple doses. Oh well its all about learning. I will probably just keep updating every once in awhile on here if thats ok. And next run i will probably start a journal to keep notes and compare as this site is a great resource.

umm heres a few pics from a few mins ago i got a new 10mp camera but i cant get it dialed in, so its just pics from my decent other cam. Any comments on things to do at this point to maximize yields and efficiency are welcome.

IMO opinion.....extract extract extract. Your room is filled with stank mouldy air. You need regular extraction and intake. And almost as important is internal circulation which i see you've got covered.

Running your vortex through the lights during lights off is pointless. Get a "y" section for your fan and run a duct into the room itself aswell as the lights.

Assuming his ventillation is set up like i'm planning on setting mine up....

exhaust>>>>Fan>>>>Duct>>>Light>>>Duct>>>Light>>>Duct>>>Carbon Scrubber, is it really necessary to use a y joint? I mean the carbon scrubber is just pulling air from the room anyways. Whats the difference?

yeah mine is set up like that except im pushing through the carbon filter because of space issues. i just added a small intake fan pulling cold air from the outside through a damper and pushing it out in the grow area, and it lowered the temps to reach a high of 79. When winter arrives i will be able to adjust the damper if temps get too cold.
