right [/sarcasm]

what is the supposed benefit of omitting the grow from the standard GH mix?

The three part GH system has you applying nutes in too high a concentration, and dumping your rez often.

At the end of the day, what you are concerned about is making it simple and minimizing costs to the grower and reducing waste. Given that GH Bloom and GH Micro have all of the nutrients that are otherwise also covered again in GH Grow, it doesn't make sense to buy a third product when you have those nutrients covered already by using just GH Micro and GH Bloom, applied in a proper ratio depending on the stage of the grow you are in.

Put another way, there is a *lot* of nitrogen in GH Micro. So much that you don't need GH Grow to get that nitrogen in the quantities your plants need. You can just rely upon GH Micro instead. You end up using more GH Micro using the Lucas Ratio than you would in a three part application - but the benefit is that you use ZERO GH Grow. In the end, having to buy and use one less product means a cheaper and simpler fertilizer system.

I really don't care if you guys believe me. I know the cost of my nutes isn't that much and the taste and quality of my meds are better now than with Ionic or GH. I am definitely more dialed in now but A nute changes and some additives have got me right at1.6 lbs per 1000 kw with 5-7 days veg. I used to get a LB.

i know this cryptic answer may not help you now, but maybe a little down the line.

Lucus is just really a G M B ratio of 0 - 1- 2,

your mix may vary, but that's it.

advanced is a waste of money. period. i ran the conneseur a+b side by side with gh 3part bc and botanicare in the end the gh 3 part was the best bang for its buck. advanced nutrients is a rip off

I've never tried AN with hydro. Someday we probably will try it, if for no other reason than to see what benefits, if any, there might be. So in that sense, your comments are not unwelcome.

I do think, however, that a far more welcome aside in a thread like this would be:

What supplements, if any, and in what amounts, are worthwhile adding to a Lucas Ratio grow - and why?

Funny! It's the same price as GH around here. I am glad you all are happy with your buds.

huh I don't use much grow at all anyway. In fact during flowering every time I put the tiny bit of grow in I wonder what difference this little addition makes.
Maybe I'll give it a go on my next run.
thanks for the reply
