PBP question

I am growing c99, sweet tooth (barneys 99% fem), somativa, nycd and ice.

I just decided I will not be doing a live organic soil grow that involves teas and all... so i'm going with PBP -

Seeing how it's focused mostly on yield - and it is mostly organic - I am ok with using it. I need high yeilds cause i'm putting it all in food.

Except... I do love making taste-worthy connoisseur buds that have a pleasant aroma.

So what could I add in combination with the PBP to really bring out the tastes and aroma.I know potash is what mostly effects that stuff so, i take it something high in K.

I stopped growing my own meds two years back so haven't really been in-tuned till just recently.

dont bother with AN, people ride their nuts all day long and the difference isnt worth the price. PBP, if you are making edibles, will make some damn good organic(ish) buds with nice flavors.

I'm an organic soil guy (dry mixes, topdresses, fish/kelp/tea), but I like to run a few hempy buckets with PBP through my room. I can't tell the difference in taste/smell/effect between PBP/LK hempy buds that got just kelp and or molasses for the last 2 weeks, and the organic soil grown buds.

PBP, LK, Maxicrop Kelp, molasses (kelp and molasses only the last ~2wks). Be careful at first, cause I have experienced nute burn with PBP in soil. Start @ 10-15 ml/gallon.

solace: get liquid karma as well and cal mag. for flowering : pbp 12 mls per gal. lk 7ml per gal.. and 1st 2 feeds of cal mag 6ml per gallon.then stop it. and like barletta said, week 5 of flowering, plain ro water for 2 feeds, then molasses(5mlpergal) an budswell (yellow label) (1 tablespoon per gallon) for the next 2 feeds.. an after that flush. do this an your nugs will have unbelievable taste..but go very easy on the mollasses.
i also would recommend rhizotonic by canna, for veg an flower. 2mls per gallon.. an your basically guranteed solid roots..unless you suck..haha.
hope that helps... best of luck.

Pure Blend Pro Good

Pure Blend Pro Good

I just switched to pbp and love it so far. Best looking grow in years. I am 4 weeks into flower and my girls are healthy and budding very fast. I use PBP Bloom and LK with blackstrap. I'm a convert very easy to use. :2cents: :joint:

Great everyone thanks! I put the LK in my car to as well now - but does anyone know if i get all three of those pbp? or just the grow and bloom basic ones and not the bloom formula.

Checking out budswell now

Solace, I use PBP Gro and LK for veg. PBP Bloom and LK for flower. Always Blackstrap Molasses. With a bit of superthrive when transplanting.

This is whats confusing me
Pure Blend Pro Grow (NPK: 2-1.5-4) enhances uptake and utilization of plant nutrients.

Pure Blend Pro Bloom
(NPK: 1.5-4-5) is ideal for the budding, flowering, fruiting capacity of plants is greatly increased. Use in your hydroponics system or with potted plants.

Pure Blend Pro Bloom Soil Formula
(NPK: 1.5-4-5) has the extra phosphorus needed during the bloom cycle. Use in hydroponics to promote ripening during the 2-3 weeks before harvest. In soil or coco Pure Blend Pro Bloom Soil Formula works alone with no need for added supplements.

The trio of Pure Blend Pro nutrients is derived from fish meal, composted sea bird guano, sea kelp, spirulina, soybean protein extract, rock phosphate, potassium carbonate, magnesium carbonate, calcium carbonate, humic acid*, fulvic acid*, citric acid*, raw sugar cane*, Agrimineral 72 (silica clay extract)*, ami no acids*, B-complex vitamins*, and select botanical plant extracts*. (*Non plant food ingredients)

Now, i already have the grow solution added to cart, but - dunno which bloom to get. or if they are suppose to go together and you buy them both?

BURNING SKY

Solace,
I have used nothing more than the pure blend line through all my grows. Great stuff and you will love the buds trust me and all the other users.

I grow in Coco with r.o. water so I dont use the soil formula of pure blend pro bloom. Instead I use the regular bloom formula with Hydroplex to give them what they need in flower but this is because I run flood drain tables also.

As for botanicares line I run Pure Blend Pro Grow through Veg. along with Calmag+ and liquid Karma occasionaly some silica blast and lots of beneficials.
p.h. around 6.2

For flower I also use all botanicare pureblend pro bloom with calmag+ liquid karma, silica blast and sweet. p.h. around 5.8-6.0

Ask your retailer to give you an updated nutrient mix sheet. I have the latest one in there catalog book. Follow it to the T and you should have know problems.
Make sure the chart you have is for your nutrients. Botanicare did some formula changes and if you are not carefull problems can and will arise... hope this helps later....

So, here i have a list... that worries me.

All this will be fine with a hemp bucket?? It wont be overkill?

I'm all for making things way better - i'm just worried i wont be able to dose accordingly since the supplements weren't meant for hemp buckets...
botanicare
silica blast
sweetberry organic
calmag
liquid karma
pbp grow
pbp bloom formula

and also budswell for tea (or should i leave out hte budswell??)
and
backstrap molasses

and also budswell for tea (or should i leave out hte budswell??)

blackstrap molasses

that all looks great to me SOLACE, but you might not need the silica if your gonna use the molasses and budswell. i would go with one or the other..

you should be fine using those nutes, just start out with a mild mix an make it hotter the more the babes like it..

i would do pbp grow,lk an cal for veg. then the same for flower, just switch the pbp's. an throw in 3 mls of the sweetberry : )

good luck chica..

PBP Bloom (soil version) is some great stuff. Don't have to use much and it makes the buds pack on the weight. You should check out Hydroplex as well. I've heard it's one of the best bud boosters you can get.

For those of you using PBP in RO water what do you do about the low pH that is common after adding your nutes?

I know that if I add some Silica Blast to the RO water first that will help keep the pH at a reasonable level? However, I probabaly should not use Silica Blast every watering right?

I am also considering adding worm castings and dolomite lime (1 tbs. gallon) to my Sunshine Mix to help take care of pH issues. Are there any of you out there that go this route when pH balancing your ferts?

Thank you for your help and experiences.

baller: f- the lime dude.. it'll lead to uncontrollable issues. i say, if your going nutes..go nutes all the way. an dont add silica blast, cause its gonna give a harsh taste if applied improperly, off schedule.

go to the store, get rhizotinic by canna.. add 2-4 mls per gallon everytime you feed, then check your ph an it should either be perfect or real close to it.. : )

hope that helps..

I don't use RO but after adding my PBP Bloom and LK my pH is down around oh 5.2ish. I just add pH up to mid 6's.
