This is my first indoor grow.
I use 2 23 watt CFL-s and 2 PC vents.
Seeds are bagseeds so i dont know what strains they are. Hope they are females. I will use SCROG method when i get bigger pots.

Welcome to IC.

I would love to see what you can get with those two lights and plants. Are you planning on adding more lights or are you going to be happy with what you have? If you have any ?'s fire away and I will try and help if I can.

You should start training those girls ASAP and get them up there closer to the lights to avoid stretch if you can. As long as it doesn't burn your hand in a minute or two the plants will be fine. If you see signs of heat stress move them back.

Putting a screen on them now will make it easier in the long run. When it comes time to bend the plants it works great to pinch the stem hard first. It will allow the plant to bend and not snap.

Do you have a fan circulating air over the bulbs? You might be better off using the intake fan to move air around inside the cab and just use passive intakes. You will need more intake surface area by the looks of it.

Are you planning to filter the air? Two plants will stink when flowered no matter how small they are. It would be best to figure it out now rather than when it is needed. A small activated carbon filter on the exhaust would work perfect.

Ill be tagging this grow man so keep it posted I am looking into starting my own micro grow here soon but probably with 4-6 of those lights. How hard is it to rig up those pc fans ?

Hey greenery, lookin good so far, may I suggest flipping your fans around to reverse the directions? i noticed you have the higher fan pulling air into the box and the lower fan expelling air. It will be more efficient to draw air out through the higher fan and pull air into the box through the lower fan (hot air rises).

Also, i guarantee that you will need some form of odour control, I have yet to update my thread http://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?p=2783688#post2783688 , which Ill be doing tonight.....basically, I bought seeds for a strain that was considered low odour (1 on a scale of 1 to 10 for stickiness), so i thought I could get away with no odour control.....damn was I wrong....lol...although I do believe they are low odour, you will have a tendency of getting a few phenotypes that will produce a slight stink which is more than enough to give away the fact that there's something going on in your room.

Grouchy:My plan was to grow with only 46 watts and wait the results and next time if its nessesary i but two lights more, but that plan can change. Right now it seems to me that i dont need to but extra fan for lights.
Smell gonna be a problem, so i try to make air filter. Maybe next week.
Thanks for help too.
bybliz: Thanks, i will reverse the fans .

Today i putted plants closer to lights.

My english isnt very good , so its hard to answer , but i try.

I'm interested in seeing if those 23w's will work. they already seem to be stretching alot, so you should probably start LST them.

those pc fans are too loud. what i can do with the noize ?

if your fans are too loud, and IF your temperatures are ok, you can reduce noise by reducing the voltage to the fans and slowingthe fans down. If your power supply can ONLY produce a 12V, you can wire the two fans you have in series with each other, that will force the two fans to divide the 12 Volts between them and run quieter.

+12V(+)----(+)FAN1(-)-----(+)FAN2(-)------(-)Ground

but remember your temperatures will rise if you slow down the fans.

Yeah, fan controllers are great. Also, putting a filter on the exhaust fan will help muffle the sound quite a bit, as well as take care of the odor.

I'd just like to ask how much weight you'd like to be producing from this grow box?

I like the reflective walls, reflectors over the lights and a good ole' Do It Yourself approach.

Some minor critiques tho would be to create a passive intake that is twice the size of your exhaust hole and make it light proof.

What are the specifications of your fans? Amperage(A)? cfm? rpm? size(mm)?

Its really easy to control your fan speed with a power supply that can adjust the voltage with a switch. I bought one from an electronics store that can EASILY change between 3-12 Volts. Just by sliding a little switch left and right! around $25. o its also only supplies 1Amp.

I decided to put a filter on the fans . Cause the the smell is getting stronger and stronger.

Mk3Jetta- I dont know. This is just a try , how much i get with very low watts.
Sizes are 80X80 mm and 12 volts and 0.17 A per a vent .

Soon as i can i will put some new pictures.
More information: Temp. is 26 c with lights and vents on. Without it should be around 18 c .

Thanks for answering ! Peace !
