I know I know, online-but it's through a top 20 university. Seriously. If you guys want links let me know. They also have a variety of online lectures that are free. Everything from physics to womens studies. It's great stuff.

Anyway, I took my second online exam earlier tonight, and decided to save a few of the questions into a word document. I typed them in verbatim into Google, and came up with a bunch of hits-all to high school environmental science chapter exams!

This professor of mine is hacking ivy league graduate level exam questions from a high school science book! To break this down:

American universities consistently rank as the highest quality in the world.
This is one of the best American Universities, thus one of the best universities in the world.
My graduate level environmental science exam contains questions from an AP high school textbook.
We wonder why Sarah Palin almost got elected, why Islam is spreading, why pot is illegal, etc.

Universe fail.

My states cutting school budgets, yet our country is engauged in unconstitutional wars. 70% of our tax dollars go to building machines to kill others, while our schools funds dry up. Education is key, and we are not even 50% of where we need to be. Education should be the last funding cut, my govenor better be broke begging for change. Ever since the federal goverment took over education in the 70's, and created the Department of education our expenses have increased while the quality of education has decreased. My children WILL not go to public schools thats for sure.

Did you really just say.... this is why islam is spreading???

My friend for that reason alone is why you take online classes.
Get into a real school so you can educate yourself.

My university is private and is into liberal arts. This also means that most of our classes are discussion based. No such thing as offering courses online. They really want you to milk the $2500/course that you've spent. That's how I know they aren't hacking stuff from AP textbooks. I have to write papers all the time.

I learn how to BS. :)

Watch the movie "idiocracy", stupid ass movie but makes a good point. Dumb people breed faster then smart people, and dumb people raise dumb kids.

I think what he is trying to get at is people are really stupid these days, and that is why there is a Sarah Palin fan club. Also dumb people are more easyily influenced, religon is an influence, like islam.

They have to make it easy for all the people paying with government grants so they can pass and come back the next semester. If they fail, they will go to somewhere easier and the college will lose a customer, I mean student.

I graduated last may, undergrad, but a lot of my classes were with graduate students and I am utterly disgusted with how meaningless and de-valued i realize my "education" is after getting to know my "peers". A modern day student given the option to think for oneself or cheat will cheat every time assuming no immediate consequences, even the intelligent and capable ones. It seems there is no moral conviction at all, and I went to a "Christian" college.

It seems a degree is a required qualification now to be considered for a good job and is just an extension of the educational system wasting away the most lively parts of ones life to better train them into economic slavery. Soon though, when every applicant has a degree and the quality of ones character is judged upon hiring, over time this collective judgment will render these degrees truly meaningless, but it will be required nonetheless just as adamantly as the pothead boss requiring drug testing to all his employees.

Not to get off point, but Islam in root revolves around the story of God speaking to an illiterate businessman through an ark angel, thus, the world. If you can read Arabic at all you can see pretty clearly its a plagiarism of the Old Testament as well later on.

I feel pretty confident in dismissing converts as pretty dumb, or pathetically desperate, human beings. I don't think that's a strong position to take, either.

Absolutely. Tell them they need college. Charge them 30 grand a year. They finance through the banks. They are now owned and forced to confirm from birth.
