best bottled organic nutes for price?

Im trying to decide what to try on my next go around. I grow in ffof mixed with lw. Im currently using the EJ line up. I have read that pbp is good and very simple, how are the yeilds with it compared to others? I would like something that isnt going to cost a fortune either since i am on a budget. Thanks guys.

lol, nope!! Just fishies. But I love the maxicrop kelp powder :D They made a sub in my order last year, giving me the soluble powder in place of the 'Algamin' ground meal, and I love em both, lol. The can lasts a LONG time, and it's ~15 bux.

I use Maxicrop fish too, but I dunno what the difference is between that and hydrolysate. The bottle says 100% fish, not fish emulsion. I like my fish and kelp at 1/2 (bottle) strength. :D

Alaska Fish Fertilizer----15 bucks a GALLON at Lowes!!! Supplement with Maxicrop. AFF also has a bloom formula----13 bucks a gallon at Lowes. I used to spend money on PBP at 15 bucks a quart buy I'm using AFF now. Seems to be just as effective and the price for a gallon can't be beat. Flame away!

so i decided to go with some of the PBP bloom for soil. I know its not 100% organic, but want to give it a try. i also picked up the liquid karma. Im going to use the fish and EJ grow for veg and try out the bloom.

what kind of doses are you guys that use PBP using for your plants? also how much Lk do you use? still have to research it more, but thought i would ask before i go off to try and read more.

just curious, why the dedication to liquid ferts? If you are mixing 2 kinds of soil, how much harder is it to mix in some dry amendments? Then you won't be paying for expensive water with a bit of nutrients. Hydrolysate excepted, that's all most liquid ferts are. Not to mention, with liquid ferts you have the very easy potential of overdoing it and becoming a conventional grow with organic ingredients. You micro herd scales back, you up the dose to where you have enough ionic nutes, and you proudly claim you are "dialed in" and your "plant tells you when it's hungry".

Probably no difference in quality and still organic IF everything is done properly, but it's easier and cheaper to use dry amendments. If your plants get hungry, you need more soil - this isn't hydro and you can't get blood from stones.

i would love to eventually run something like that where i could mix everything in the soil and just water as needed. I have some of the basic things needed to mix up my soil, just usure of how much to add of everything. I have blood meal, high P guano, and a few other things laying around that i could add. how much of each would be a good start for plants in veg, and then for in flower?

I still plan to run the pbp and lk and may see what yeilds the most and is the best quality between both ways.

I use the PBPsoil bloom at no more than 1 tablespoon/gallon in amended (but somewhat depleted, hence the bottle shot), and LK at NO MORE THAN 5ml. I was burning plants for months with LK, and didn't realize it. Maybe it's my (hardish) well water. But 15/5 seems to be a good 'corrective' shot in soil. I have forced nanners using PBPsoil in soil at recco'd (30ml/gal) strength. In my hempy's (perlite and castings), I will feed up to 30ml/gal (2 tablespoons), but I still won't up the LK past 5ml (teaspoon/gal).

mj is right. You will spend a lil more effort prepping for the grow (although how much effort have you expended researching nutes? FWIW, I did the same thing, and I have 2 y/o bottles of stuff that I'll never use) by mixing soil, but you are almost gauranteed a smoother grow. You will be less likely to burn your plants, and you will be less likely to experience a deficiency by focusing on what goes into the soil, rather than what goes into a bottle/how much/how often/what additives, etc... Bear in mind that bottled nutes also rely HEAVILY on water quality/chemistry to deliver nutes, so one member's recipe may/may not work for another member.

If you are careful to not burn your plants, and to feed sparingly toward the end of flower, the buds will be indistinguishable from one method to the next, IMO. In an otherwise perfect environment, the PBP should out yield the organic dry nutes, IMO. Prollem is, 95% of us don't have a perfect environment AND a handle on how much/what to feed each strain we run. The easy correction is to grow good soil. I run ~75% of my plants in homegrown organic soil, and ~25% in 'organic-based' ;) hempy bukkits.
