i heard about JAMAICAN LAMBS BREAD,the strain and got lucky enough that when i investigated it, i came across a guy who actually was on vacation and went to ganja mountain at his own peril might i add!! obtained j.l.b and got it home, thirteen years later i meet this guy and he gives up the beans saying they might not produce being over ten years old.HE WAS DEAD WRONG! indoors it's tall, lanky, slim, low yield(but pungent and powerful high) by it's self. so it has since been crossed with SOUR BUBBLE,BUBBLEGUM,MAPLE LEAF INDICA,BLUE BERRY,PURPLE KUSH, AND NEBULA. result's are pending soon will keep ya posted!(everything i post is a work of fiction and is not true)

my friend who goes to jamaica a couple of times a year says that Lambsbread is more of a regional name than a specific sativa. V.

Yeah mon ,,

'Lambsbread' (aka 'Kings Bread') is a generic term for high grade erb :canabis:

'Lambsbreath' is a commercial strain of ganja :canabis:

hope this helps

I remember an Interview in High Times Magazine in the late 70s with Bob Marley. The title on the cover was Bob Marley, he smokes for God. Anyway, one of the quotes from Bob Marley was, "If you get smoke that is Lambs Bread it is very good"

edit: Here is another I just found

De ability what de herb 'ave ya call lamb's bread. Some a dem ya call Bethlehem's bread. ~ Bob Marley

It was probably the same interview where BM said what a bunch of incompetent greedy fools most Jamaican growers were, something along the lines of they cut it way to early, just think of the money, it is very hard, even for him, to find any real quality.

A bit like most places then really !

I saw "Lambsbread" in London years ago, very expensive [200/oz 10 or 15 years ago] and not that amazing, you needed to put 1g in a neat joint to get a pukka soaring Sativa high, nice, but not stunningly better than the 1800/2200 commercial Colombian/African commercial import [when you found a good/value one]

I had a pack of Cannabiogen Caribe [from the very dodgy local growshop ********* mofo here] a few years ago and it failed to germinate, I was sad about that, it was meant to be my real quality head stash grow.

Lambsbread is what it sounds like when a Jamaican person says lambsbreath. ...

yeah in jamaican patois it sounds like 'lamb-bret' which must have been taken as lambsbread :)

my mate is over in jamaica atm and i've given him strict instructions to bring back some seeds. i wont hold my breath :D but if he comes back with seeds and says they came from great weed then i know i can beleive him - he's old-school.

chaos i beleive they have 3 harvests per year in jamaica but one of them is cut short in order to start the next - so that is the weed to avoid.
my friend tells a funny story of going off into Kingston and being exstatic about getting a couple of huge buds for £5. then his Jamaican father in law went off with £5 and came back with a carrier bag full of even better stuff :D

Clubs in Long Beach had it called "Lambsbread" Super chunk dense (i mean really really dense) w/ lots of pistils. Smoke was similar in effect to LA Conf, bit more bass than treble.
Had nice soft flavors with a lil pungent (taste like something Dutch to me).

The density and strength/length of effect impressed me most with what i had.

Lambsbread isn't a strain, but that true lambsbread was made by pollinating a female plant very close to finish.
The result was described as a plant that had developed swollen calyxes as it was about to make seed but harvested before any seed had begun to fill that void....

I have begun experimenting with this recently myself.
I noticed the effect when I would think I could safely grow out a male alongside my females that were about to finish.
The last week or so, I would place my male in to flower.
I just assumed it would not damage my crop any, given the timing.

The original name in jamaica is LambsBREATH..as in sweet as a lambs breath...like babies breath..in other words sweet and natural. When Jamaican's speak, the words are often perceived differently due to the patois they speak. " Lambsbreath " being spoken by a native Jamaican would sould like" Lambsbret' as the 'h' would be dropped in pronunciation, thus leading a casual listener, like a tourist, to hear ' bret', or bred, instead of the intended ' breath'.

There is no such thing as Lambsbread...Lambs do not eat bread nor is there any connection to bread...but Lambs DO have breath, and a babies breath is considered primally innocent and sweet to the smell..thus the name.

I spent many a day in Jamaica, primarily around Negril, starting when it first became cool back in the 1970's..Mrs. Brown had a shack that rented mopeds and she would make up mushroom tea that was famous..and very good. It was a quiet town with critters in the streets and only one main resort, the Villas Negril, back then...although it has developed greatly since them it was a great place for tourists looking for ganja.

I had a few really cool things happen there, including a night spent in the jungle with the rasta's and a few run ins with the cops..but thats another story.

It is Lambsbreath, don't let anyone tell you different..
