ive got a lone male mazar i shariff i wanna keep an use for breeding stock, the only prob ive got is it needs to stay in a tent which has my mothers in an as they are quit old genetics they always seem to have pistils showing even though they are on 24hr or 18/6 light cycles.

i need to know if there is any chance of the females being pollinated an producing seeds thru these pistils, as i understand its the pistils that pick up on the pollen etc etc.
if anyone can let me know it would be much appreciated, as ive only got experience breeding with females only.
thanks.

grimweeder. im no expert but i guess if you have pistils you can theoretically get seeds.

you could clone the male and then keep the rooted clone in veg with the mums, and then just keep a branch off the original plant and toss the rest. leave this on a windowledge with the stem in some water and it should produce plenty of pollen to make some seeds with. the you can test the seeds and see if the progeny are any good and you still have the clone 'dad' if you want to make more seeds.

hormone levels are quite wrong for producing seeds without time in the 12/12 room. you may get a seed or 2(i doubt it tho), but their viability would be the issue i think

You can get viable seeds from pollinating the pre-flowers.

There have been threads on this before if you want to look for them.

Grim I have a question for you.
Why is this male flowering?
Is it preflowers because of age or did you put it under 12/12 to sex it?
The reason I ask is I have some mazar seeds and was thinking of keeping a male when I germ. them for some breeding.
