IC Meet up during HTCC

Hi All,

A few of us are considering an informal meet up during the period of the high times cup (nov 22nd - 26th). nothing planned as yet, just the suggestion of meeting for a few smokes and a chat.

A few of us want to visit a coffeeshop that I'm always going on about called "Bij". It takes about 20 mins to get there from central and isnt too far from the Kashmir Lounge (which has a tobacco friendly smoking room).

As I say, nothing has been arranged so if youre in town at the time and fancy it, why not let us know in this thread when a good time might be and maybe between us we can nail something down...maybe you have some ideas to add?.. then feel free

Don't seem to be too many folks responding for some reason.

So, I decided that I will be interested in meeting at Bij, and fulfilling my promise to treat you to some nice smoke with a cup of coffee.

During Ic Mag Cup 2009 we did not meet up, it was my first time attending, and OJD's jelly hash did its job very well and after 3-4 hits at the GH United on my first day in Amsterdam I forgot everything I had planned.

My tolerance was really low, and I should have started much slower, in other words not with SSSDH extract made by OJD.

I will be in NL next week, we can meet before the CC and I will tell you all about the bs with the grow tent that I brought with me, and maybe we can still get it back since I left it at Mila's shop (Polinator).

Anyway, let me know what time you are free to meet at the Bij CS and I will get back to you by PM to set all the details.

The expo is at the POWERZONE . Not sure what it costs to get in there but that is where all the vendors are as well as most of the entertainment. Some of the seed vendors pass out vapor samples of their entries. I will be staying at the RHO hotel close to DAM Square and will be arriving in Amsterdam on November 16. But before I get to Amsterdam I will be at the UK Hemp Expo in London this weekend

That is the afterhours entertainment location if I am not mistaken and if you have never met anyone before then it wouldn't be a place to meet as it's a zoo. I always tell folks to meet me at the expo where it would be easy to find me. I rarely go to the after hours location as I am dead tired by the end of the day. There is plenty of entertainment at the powerzone during the expo hours.

Hey South, good to hear from you bro. As you'll be arriving 22nd, how about we meet around lunchtime on the 23rd?(Monday) that way you'll have time to get settled in.

Let me know if thats cool (and anyone else who'd like to come for a good lunchtime sesh on the Monday) then we can arrange to meet somewhere easy, like Surinaamplein (tram 1 or 17 from dam central, takes about 15 mins). Can't actually smoke at this place we're going to, but their selection and prices are unbeatable... and besides, we can go to a place near by to smoke (kashmir lounge)

That sounds cool, the 23rd at Bij, at 14:00. Are you going to check out the booths at the PowerZone? I am planning to go on the 24th to meet Marco Renda, have a talk with him (and also ) and then go check out the other booths since I have never been at the CC, only watched the YouTube vids, and want to see what is being offered by all the companies there.

I am really interested in the vapor-bong combo's that are really becoming popular now, especially after vaping a gram of blue cheese at anyday's.

Since I don't smoke tobacco, don't drink alcohol, eat mostly (80-90%) high quality non-processed food, and exercise on a regular basis, I definitely want to use the healthiest method possible for taking my medication

I read those stats about people dying from alcohol, cigs, poor diet and lack of physical activity (about a million per year in US alone) and that there are zero deaths from cannabis, but still smoking it makes my throat feel like shit, and if there are products that can be used to get the effect that I want without my throat and lungs having to suffer, then this is what I will use.

...By the way, when I was at Anyday's...I got my id checked there, and since I am 38, I took that as a compliment. But most likely it was because he took a few hits of the powerful hash that they sell there (master blaster ice hash) and could not see very well after that. From what I believe they had the choice of master blaster indica or master blaster sativa ice hash, but I have a low tolerance, and mostly choose chill varieties like blue cheese when having a long smoking session

...otherwise I have to stop after the third toke while my mind gets a grip. When my tolerance gets balanced out, I would love to try something like a Neville's Haze x Amnesia Haze hybrid since for me nothing compares to a strong sativa high, but while building up my tolerance I try to use something like a Skunk#1 x Amnesia Haze (Amnesia Lemon) since it does not hit me as hard and I can function and actually say things that at least make some sense...

...because after Neville's Haze mixed with Amnesia Haze (both from Willie Wortels Indica CS) in April 2009, I not only had problems making sense, but I actually had problems talking

...in fact a few times it seemed like I said something, but in reality I did not...lol...that was some strange shit actually, very close to the few times I tried acid in the states, but much better since there were was no hallucinations, only a feeling like I was lucid dreaming or something.

...that medical grower I was with was also blasted so it was the strength of the herb and not my low tolerance, but obviously the low tolerance helped me reach a level that was just outstanding, in fact it was like having an outer-body experience...I guess combining NH x AH will do that for just about anyone), no matter what the tolerance level (you just have to smoke enough to reach that level)

...walking around Haarlem was such a pleasure in that state of mind though, because there are very few tourists, and I just took it one step at a time, and after about 3-4 hours we ended up at an excellent Dutch restaurant, and had the most delicious meal in my life (NH x AH obvioulsy helped my taste buds to increase somewhat, but still the foods was tops) and could not compare to anything I ever tried in the Dam.

...Haarlem is my favorite city in The Netherlands, and even though I have been a few times in Enschede, The Hague, Rotterdam, and many time in Amsterdam, I just simply fell in love with Haarlem from the first time I was there. To me it's like a small Amsterdam without the tourists. And obvioulsy I have nothing against tourists (since I was also one of them).....still, the layed back atmosphere, and beauty of Haarlem, just won me over, big time.

There is also something about Rotterdam and The Hague and Enschede, and obvioulsy Amsterdam, but Haarlem is on a different level for me at least, when I am there I feel like this is the place I was born, and could live for the rest of my life without wanting to ever move anywhere else. And I feel this way even when I am completely straight.

...anyway...enough about all that...lol

I checked out your grow threads and felt really stupid that I didn't just give you that grow tent and the seeds that I offered you before Ic Mag Cup 2009. I am sure we could have worked out some type of barter which would be beneficial to both of us. Maybe the DR60 we can still get back, but the seeds are in the US, since I gave them away as a present to a medical grower that I met during the cup. He is growing them out and posting pics in this forum, so I am glad that I can see the plants that those seeds produce, but still it would have been much more pleasurable to see some of the harvested buds, or at least the crystals with my owns eyes

You are really doing good with your grows, and since I will be living in NL, maybe you can teach me a thing or two when I get mine going. That Cheeseberry Haze (from the person who's name gets erased when written in here) seems like a killer smoke, and it is a shame he didn't find a way to work with Gypsy because he got awesome genetics at amazing prices and I think it would have been great for this community and for that Dutch breeder also, especially since he has many friends helping him and I think he could have produced enough stock to satisfy the Ic Mag Community.

Anyway, look forward to the 23rd and hopefully other people will join us and we can really have a good time talking about our favorite plant, while enjoying the fruits of someone else's labor

What strains do you like smoking the best, since I could pick up some before arriving, and we can blaze up when you are not busy with visitors at the show.

If you have a chance maybe you can get me a visitors pass or something (if this is not a problem) and since I will have a my cel-phone with a NL phone number I could call you when I arrive and we could set something up. Maybe you can send me your cell number by PM and I will call you on the 23rd after arrival. If this is a problem, then I will just pay at the door on the 24th, and will see you at the booth on the 24th.

Thanks for that link, that makes it really easy to choose the times to attend on the dates that have a great line up. Are you gonna show up at our meet on your Micro-Harley? That must be the best way (and the fastest) to get around the Dam. Maybe when I get my tolerance up, I can also get me one of those things and make my rounds just like you there on a regular basis.

It would be best to call me at my hotel RHO and we can set something up to get you into the expo. I may have to meet you outside and bring you in. I will try and get my European cell phone working and will send you the # in a PM once I get to Amsterdam.

I myself love heavy hitting indicas as I find that sativas do a number on me.
