Metallica show Nov.12th Albany NY

Yee haw-finally things are looking up for a change.My brother informed me that we have tickets for the Metallica show!! He is a school teacher and very MMJ un-friendly.He is union president and the school board is trying to find ways to fire him.I have to be very stealth in burning.Has anyone here seen a concert at this venue?? How is the smoking? Cannot wait to see the show-thanks in advance-BigD

I have seen many shows,from Judas Priest to Pink Floyd.I even did a stint on security w/AC/DC back when I was buff.This is a band I have waited to see forever.Thanks for a great birthday gift.I have a few buds of Lemon Haze to take w/me.Maybe a frosty cold one to start the evening.Just 1 or my oxys will put me to sleep! Cool man, youve seen your share'o shit for sure. Havn't seen floyd but Ive seen ac/dc Iron Maiden, Rush(not metal but I dig there drummer). Pigmy Love Circus, a perfect circle, Tool(Im really into Tool) Stone Temple Pilots, Pearl Jam, Rage Against the machine.........UUmmm Thats off the top of my head. Oh yeah, I was at that big sars concert that was held in Toronto, there was like 500,000 people there. They had alot of rock bands playing which was cool, so near the end of the night Justin f`n loser Timberlake walks on the stage and starts trying to bring sexy back, people started throwing shit at him, i persionally hit him in the head with a plastic bottle which felt great, he`s doing dance moves while dogging shit...It was awsome man, one of the best shows Ive been too!!


Yeah, I got those Oxy`s too, I swear nothing beets eating an Oxy and than smoking a big gagger, I really love the buzz!!

Have fun dude!! Let me know how the show went, I would like to hear what they played if ya got the time.

Seen Metallica on the Masters of puppets and on .....justice for all tours, great shows.
My mates have seen them 2 months or so back on the new tour.
4 songs from kill em all to masters of puppets.
If you like the new Metallica it will be a good show for you.
If you like the first 3 albums don't bother going.

I'm guessing the show is at the Pepsi Arena (or whatever they are calling it now).
I saw the Dead there years ago, and wasn't impressed with the security.
It may have been because of who was playing but there where a lot of security around. If they caught you smoking the first time they just had you put it out, the second time you where escorted out of the arena.

Security was lacking or so I thought.A bunch of folks lit up during Lamb of God so I waited till Metallica.I sparked up a doobie of lemon haze and 5 minutes later,here comes security.Come to find out the hippy wannabes in front of me,ratted me out.I threw the roach on the floor and stared them down.They walked away finally but made me paranoid enough to not light up again even though the bastages in front of me smoked a carton of ciggies,yuk!21 songs and a ton of old stuff.It was an awesome show w/5 encores.Did I say I HATE NARCS! Didnt ruin my show.I just got the concert downloaded to my Ipod and it is sweet! Peace and One Love BigD

Did I also mention that "Lamb of God" was the worst warm up band I have ever seen and I have been to many shows from Pink Floyd to the Stones.Something about "mother fuckers" 24/7 from the lead singer didnt sit well with me.MF is not music! BigD

i saw metallica aat the times union yrs ago aand security was making people put out cigs but didnt say a word to me for my joint .im within 45 mins 1 hr from that venue

australia here...last i saw them was on the fuel tour...seems like they cant be bothered playing good shows here...on the black tour was the same...even they said in the papers later"they where to tired to rock"...at the fuel show i thought "maybe my joint will make it more interesting?"..i was so bored i was gona walk out... so i lit it up while sitting up in the seated area...i didnt give a shit and no one else seemed too...that was the best part of the show...seemed like kirt was more stoned than me...he couldnt even keep his slide on his finger...he had to pick it up off the floor and just laughed screwing up the start of fuel for fire with the slide part.HH. =]-~

I have gone to Metallica once

Back in like 92 or 93 I went to see them, Danzig, and Suicidal Tendencies, crazy show

I had long hair at the time, so I fit in. I had originally had gone for Danzig, but metallica stole the show. Hearing that Double bass in person for the first time was a sound I can never forget

Danzig??? Holy shit dude, you lucky sob. That sounds like a killer show dog, f'n Danzig, man I was a huge Danzig fan, kinda, sorta still am. But I would have loved to them live,with suicidal and Metallica.

It was a crazy show

I used to be a punk, I guess I still am in heart, and the Misfits were amazing. Yeah it was a great show, danzig all 5'0 of him, can really rock the stage

And ST was just a wall of sound, but as I said Metallica stole the show

PUNK!!!! Right on man, I had my 20 hole docks and purple koolaid hair. Misfits are f'n classic for sure, I got a buddy who's in a band and all they TRY and do is cover's of misfits.

All 5'0 of Danzig? He's a midget? Wow, never knew, ya he's a great singer. Kinda like a cracked out elvis.....LOL!!
