thanks for the clone inspection scrubninja, makes me feel much better about transplanting
really want to hold onto this nl#5's genetics, planning on taking her a bit more amber this time, +rep for the help

good to have you watching wonnagogreen, more eyes the better, just in case things start going south on me

so i've chosen the clone 'winner' and transplanted a nl#5 clone
that was done a few days ago, and she looks OK, good dark green in the new growth
bit of yellowing in the lower fan set is a little worrying
used a distilled water bottom as the new pot, free water(or pot) for less than a $1
i did look for a ready made pot, but couldn't find the dimensions i wanted(6 x 6 inches)
so the clone is the 1st pic

now to the jock horror, again she looks OK, but growing slow
isn't the dark green that i'm used to in weed, but she's a new strain to me
she's the 2nd pic

got a little behind here, photos are 2 days old - meant to post them, but you know how it is
so the nl#5 clone, beginning to grow a bit, moved to 2 inches from light, that's the 1st pic

the jock horror, thought she was growing slow and looked a bit on the light green side
check today and a touch of yellow on a lower fan, damn! couldn't believe i'd be seeing
nitrogen def so quick and such a small plant - had good luck with same soil mix in 1st grow
maybe jock horror a heavier feeder? anyways, just fed with a molasses/alfalfa tea
and she's the 2nd pic

yeah cheesebuds, it's a bit of a struggle at the moment, 2 separate issues
1st one is the clone is taking slowly, i've got a 2nd clone that i took out and just left it near ambient sunlight - that clone seems to be getting better - these clones didn't have any rooting compound, think that's the slow part
the jock horror just as slow as the others, but for different reasons
i have been following your grow, you have such nice large pics, but they kind of bog down my dialup conection

the clone in the pic is about 4 weeks old
the other clone which i had 'discarded' is 5 weeks old
from what i can tell, the 1st 'lost cause' clone has seemed to have rooted
put it back in the jock horror case, just able to fit it in there
my guess is no rooting compound = long wait to root

no joy in small grow land, or not much anyways

actually, it's not horrible, but my jock horror is really not thriving
pale green, and some light yellow in the lower leaf
sure looks like nitrogen def., but soil mix did work fine for the nl#5
got 1 tbsp of MG bone meal(6-9-0) per gallon soil
and been feeding with molasses/alfalfa tea, there should be enough nitrogen with such a run of a plant
so looking at the ph bit closer, outflow was around 6, worked fine in my last grow
however, can't see anything else, so upped the ph a bit with some wood ash
that seems to have moved ph to 6.2, have to hope

now to the clone(s), talk about slow, but corner seems to have been turned
the 1st clone that i 'discarded' came back on its own, seemed to like neglect
so i shoved it back in with the horror for the moment in the 1st pic
the 2nd clone is still going slow, but i think i know why now
clone seemed to take about a month to root without rooting compound
next time a little help will be the way to go, oh well, it's a learning process
2nd clone in 2nd pic

i think my root zone temps are not perfect, probably a bit cool
the original clone is probably the better of the 2 at the moment
i've been hesitant to stuff a heating mat in there, trying to figure out some clever way to boost the pot temps

is it possible they have been over watered? to me that soil doesn't look like it drains well, and this is usually the 1st thing to cause slow growth.

mate I think you need better advice (Im still too new) but they look a little burned and over fed to me...probably a bit wet too.. but I dont know for sure

best of luck

Chief Rbud, JamieShoes, thanks for taking the time to look - it's a little confusing because the clones have their own issues, but i think will begin to take off soon
the jock horror is the mystery to me - the drainage is actually good, definitely not over watered, been watching that real close
overfeeding will usually show burnt tips, didn't seem to have that
it has been slowly losing color, and wasn't very dark to start with
sure looked like nitrogen deficiency, but i do have organic nitrogen in there
i've adjusted the ph upwards a bit, i think the color is improving a little
+rep for the suggestions, i keep it going because i've seen some sad plants recover in the grow logs

EDIT: system doesn't seem to taking rep, tried a few times today

day 42

day 42

good things and bad things, it's a learning experience anyways, pics again a fews day old

the clones are a lesson to me on cloning, they're are now taking off
i have said that half a dozen times, but it's finally true
basically, looks like they took a month to root, but they're rooted, that's what counts
1st pic shows one clone, 2nd pic has the discarded clone which i think i'll keep

and the jock horror, the most f#!g fustrating plant i've ever dealt with
it won't die and it won't grow, my ph adjustment seemed to give back a bit of color
the 1st true leaves are dieing off, but the uppers are slowly growing
just don't know what to do with it, it's the plant at the right in the 2nd pic

thanks JamieShoes for the positive note, guess we have to take our pleasure where we can find it

clones pretty good(all things considered), jock horror - not so good

so the clones are beginning to throw out some leaf
not the prettiest clones, but expect that will be changing

now the jock horror, pure torture - will not budge, except for the yellowing lower leaves
so time for bolder action, just made a sharper adjustment to ph
enough wood ash to push the outflow to 6.4, can't see any other course at the moment

Day 50

Day 50

time to check off a another newb mistake, micro growing is different from the regular type
i'm using the same soil as first grow, but in much smaller pots
my 1st grow started and finished in 2 gallon pots
and what i've done is(i think) watered away the small amount of nutes in my soil
i've been starving my jock horror, finally figured this out when my clone in the smaller pot started to yellow
clone in bigger pot is better, got more dirt
so i'm brewing nutes as fast as i can, hopefully a big bump up in growing soon

Day 53

Day 53

another day in micro grow - i am humbled in how much shrinking things has hurt
i'm pointing the finger at size, the larger pot is doing better
the other clone got dinged with some yellow in the smaller pot, this has to be lack of nutes
so i'm feeding as fast as i can, alfalfa and bone meal teas
so the bigger clone is hitting the lst zone real soon, tomorrow maybe, it's at 3 inches or so
