From experience, this is what i see happening.
Glock returned. (a) the gun was legal and registered to you. (b) The gun was not used during a crime.
Cash: Forfeited. If you can't prove the money was made at a job (must have a weekly pay stub) they consider it funds collected during illegal activities.
Jail: None. 1st time offender. Probation (5 year) and drug diversion, possible community service.
Charges will be reduced to a misdemeanor with the understanding if your caught growing while on probation the felony charges will be filed and prison time mandatory.
In California this is exactly how this would work. Missouri isn't much different.

Best news ever came on thursday november 5th. Got a call from the DEA agent that was in charge of my case and was asked to meet him later that evening. My gun was returned to me in a sealed white evidence bag and I had to sign for the property being returned, I was told that my confiscated equipment was ordered destroyed and that my money would not be returned voluntarilly because it was seized drug money, I could have my lawyer fight for it but it will cost more to get it back than what is there. I still have a clean record with no mention of anything. The case was dropped because the identity of the informant was revealed to me by friends of mine that knew a DEA agent that was involved in my case, the AUSA did not want to pursue charges because the confidential informant was compromised. I was told to put everything behind me and move on as nothing ever happened.

man missouri is way different!! i live in a two horse town with a hangin judge!!i got charged for manufacturing more than five grams, intent to distribute!! they took my shotgun,40 cal pistol,my computers and cameras!! i took drug court program in lieu of a 15 year sentence!! it was my first offense!!! i had a bunch of traffic(driving) shit but never got in real trouble!! my bond was $33,000!!!man they are all in cahoots!! its a small town industry!! i had one 400 watter,, all of the shit was out of my house by the time they arrived and because they had pics on the camera i got charged!! they put all of the evidence in the trucks and then decided they forgot to take pics so they restaged everything and shot pics!! you are not innocent until proven guilty!!if i was in a bigger city i would have had a chance!!! this drug court program is 16 months long and when i complete it everything is dropped!! but i have to pee twice a week until march 2011!! i must go to rehab classes every week and attend aa/na meetings every week!! its still better than jail!! don't fuck around in missouri..move to illinois..the same charge up to 20 plants carry a 2 year probation with the charge suspended after completion!!!i am moving to colorado in 2011!! maybe illinois if they get mmj passed!!!congrats hydrochris on your outcome, you are a lucky man!!!!! dj

really a bummer, I feel for you . Who do you know that was busted recently and may have knew your grow. Get out the best you can, don't give up anybody and in the near future it will get better. Some day it will all be over. Figure out where you are moving to that the problems are better.

well thats trippy news...
....i got busted for 16 plants once...thought ok am in some sort of shit since the last bust as laws had changed...and then get told by my lawyer (one) they are having a hard time laying there hands on the evidence ect and (two) charge being dropped to possession ???....possession??? thats for having weed not plants...huh?...no idea what happened there maybe they lost shit and had no case?...all i got was a fine...so was happy in the end...still havnt payed the fine lol...will get there one day lol.HH. =]-~

Thanks to you guys with good words and to all that think I am a snitch you can go f*ck yourselves in your closet grows. I was never charged, never arrested, cuffed. You are rewarded with sentence reductions with cooperation, someone on their side broke the rules and that is why my case was dropped, if you were caught you could only pray to be that lucky. When I did my proffer session it was to divulge all information about myself, I am the cleanest person that has ever sat in front of the AUSA and the DEA agents in any proffer, and when asked if I had any information about other criminal activity, my answer of NO was solid enough for them.
This was a federal case, not a state case. If I was charged in my county I would have been totally fucked for sure since the prosecutors use verry little discretion regarding CI's. However, when the AUSA was told that I learned the identity of the CI that gave me up, she dropped the case immediately in her eyes to prevent any harm coming to the CI.
I guess the only snitching I could have done was let the DEA guy I dealt with know that I got dealt the CI info from another agent in his unit.
I feel like the luckiest guy on the planet, I will be waiting patiently until Missouri becomes a med state. Good luck to all and be safe, grow safe.

Man, Best of luck to you, and your family.. I wouldnt wish this situation on my worst enemy. Is it just me? Or is there a lot of "I got busted" threads on icmag lately.. None of them having a clue how the police caught on..
