Just let your attorney take care of your defense. He will probably delay as much as possible so that the plants will dehydrate, will ask that you stop smoking and provide a drug test to show that you have stopped smoking. Also provide him with biography and make sure to mention all your ailments.

If i stop smoking i could die... I was 155 pounds and started loosing weight rapidly i now weigh 125 and the doctors do not know whats wrong... i have had cts mris colonoscopies endoscopies pill cam study, and nothing.. the only thing that has helped stabilize my weight is cannabis 
I have medical records that proove my weight lose and all the tests but im still undiagnosed.... Ive actually gained 4 pounds since i started using cannabis....

It all is going to be dependent upon what the D.A. wishes to pursue but without any record, scales, weapons, etc. you are looking at probation I would say with a deferred felony.
Hey ftp504, this is sad news, especially as it's your medicine, looks like you done everything right, lawyer etc, I do hope you get from under this with the lightest sentence possible, best of luck, try and stay positive.
If you can 'prove' the MJ helped you I would use it as my defence, legal or not

i so hope that works for you man the system is so fucked up but sometimes it doesnt always screw pepole like in that case man keep your head up and talk to your doctors have it all documented even if ya stop smoking for a short period to prove its medical value for you. i hope the best for your case and health stay strong and keep your head up.
