After some safety tips from electricians

I've got a thread about creating and using a colloidal silver generator (see here), and i want to update it with some basic safety advice.

Some people just use a 9V battery but most use a power adapter plugged into the wall, so I was just after some safety tips, especially from electricians and those in the know (i'm in IT, i don't do hardware!)

Especially I'm wondering
- what are the things that COULD go wrong
- tips to AVOID things going wrong

Many thanks!

Dude 9 volts will do no harm. You could stick your hand into the water and you most likely would not even feel it.

5 year electrcian.

I could say DO NOT let the positive and negative ends touch. Other than that you will have no problems.

I don't have any worries about a 9V battery, but rather a 9V power adapter plugged into a (240V or whatever) wall socket.

I could say DO NOT let the positive and negative ends touch. Other than that you will have no problems.
So what would happen if the positive and negative ends touch?

Many thanks! :)

No Jim I have to say that title goes to my recently departed daddy-o.He was an engineer with the gov't,really high up there but couldn't spell cat.Its funny that some people really good at math have a hard time spelling.

If they touch worse case is it frys the transformers or other little electrical devices inside the device. You might see small amounts of sparks and other little things but no danger.

Why are you worried about plugging it into the wall? It is on a transformer that steps the volts down?

And what about in regards to electrocution, is that possible or would it be "just a 9V zap" kinda thing? and what would i have to do to get that - simply touch one of the silver electrodes while it's live?
Many thanks!

man you could put one of those things in your mouth and barly feel it, if at all.

just try it i promise you will be ok. just touch one when it is live and you will see, I mean you handle the 9v battery and you touch the parts were the electricity comes out without getting shocked it is the same thing.
