i believe the mixture is for premium burning qualities in a suitable temperature range. all propane sold commercially for home use etc has a smelling agent added, as propane is naturally odorless.

i could have just put down mercaptans for the hundredth time, but i thought i would change it up for variety. mercaptans are added to propane, its pretty common knowledge.

Well, Green Supreme, I didn't see the addition of mercaptans on the MSDS, and from personal experiance, I can testify Colibri does have an odor. I thought ALL ingredients must be present on an MSDS....

And really, with all of those trying BHO extractions, this information should made available. HMK what do you think about compiling a Butane brand MSDS thread? Seems part of responsible use.

I will bring it back 180 now to validate that commercial propane, as i mentioned, the type sold to consumers for use in large propane cylinders etc for use in barbeques, ALWAYS has mercaptans added.
I never said, and in no way meant that the propane content in Colibri has mercaptans in it. I do not believe it does. There is an odor from colibri, but its not a mercaptan smell. as far as i know, the pure mixture of isobutane, n-butane and propane has some odor without additives. Cheap butanes reek considerably more, and markedly like mercaptans.

actually i've done more research than you, and know more about the purity of certain brands of butane than yourself. go ahead and think you are smartest, but thats the first mistake anyone can ever make in a quest for advancement of their own knowledge base. btw i am not assuming this (smartestness)for myself, but i DID do the research that satisfied my need for knowing. i know what the impurities are in colibri, according to their information they supplied me with on request. its true i haven't had any tests done, but i dont see what reason they would have to lie to me.
