Im not nor every have been in trouble with the law, so whats the reason for putting that stuff out there again? If its the law and I broke it, and part of the punishment is to publish my name and enter me into a data base than...... by all means I made the mistake the I have to live with.

I didnt mention in CA it DOES say what the offenses are. The nieghbor (45 years old) was on parole for Oral copulation with a minor under 14.

Generally I agree with some of what you are saying. Do you honestly think someone that pees in the bushes when they are drunk should spend the rest of their life as a convicted felon on a list like that? Seems to me it's kind of like someone going to jail for ten years over one joint. Sometimes the punishment doesn't remotely fit the crime.
Now they people that molest, rape etc deserve to be treated like the scum they are. Even if they have done their time, they deserve to be hassled for the rest of their time on the planet.
For the kid I knew that is now on that list he sure doesn't deserve what he got. Maybe you think is life should be turned upside down for streaking, but to me that is asinine. He deserved a ticket and maybe some community service. He shouldn't be condemned for the rest of his life for something stupid he did when he was twenty. Hell until the whole thing went down I didn't even know that type of thing was a "sex crime." Turns out in the state he lived at the time mooning is too. Cause that makes lots of sense.
I'm not convinced that child predators can be rehabilitated.

I agree that most serious sex offenders will never get better. But, I think it's a little harsh to print out maps and make a huge scene about it. Private conversations with your neighbors at appropriate times is a little more tactful. We all have access to these sites and anyone with children should check them on a regular basis.

ive known heroin users that have gotten clean and stayed that way. i cant say that about any child molester. (whether ive known them or not)
