PROPER ENGLISH And how we've fallen down

When one attempts to communicate the components of an idea or concept in writing, one should consider utilizing written English in a way that does not undermine it's prominence as a mastered writing system.

Proper written English is a rare sight on ICMag. ICMag is an intelligence web site, but the site's users use improper written English. I think, that the use of improper English on ICMag can only hurt its functionality as an educational web site. If we all worked to improve and perfect our written language skills, ICMag would become a better place to learn and grow.

Although I'm an English major, I sometimes tend to fall into slang or the vernacular, just because I get tired of writing formal essays and articles for school or during my spare time. I do agree that we should all strive to write well, especially when we participate in debate threads or even just advice threads, but here in Toker's Den, that doesn't seem to have much of a significance. I will get nit-picky with grammar, but I don't wanna be a grammar nazi.

I try my best to use proper English when posting, admittedly failing on a regular basis.
I would actually prefer more punctuation because as I am sure you have had a chance to experience here on IC and other boards some people never met a run on sentence in their life that they could possibly pass by without adding an additional forty seven syllables,
