Updating my grow

Here we have my grow, California Skunk, under a 400 watt HPS using Fox Farm Grow Big and Fox farm Big Bloom at 1/2 strength. The clones are in 1 gal pots.
I have 4 mothers, I recently just sexed out my clones and disposed of the males.

With this round and the next I will see which mom I like the best to keep.

The stretch is different from mom to mom, I am going to go with one that doesnt stretch to much, I planted them in there 1 gal containers 13 days ago and they were all about 6 inches tall. so they have deff. doubled in size. But then again they were in veg in 16 oz solo cups for about 12 days....... I am hoping that the one gal are big enough, I think next round I will go with something larger and see how much of a difference it makes. Then I will make my final decision on which strain to keep.

My new flowering chamber is 52 inches high so I flowered them in this cab to see what the stretch was like. I have no prior experience with flowering in less than 5 gal buckets so this is all new to me.

I checked on the girls tonight and the buds are really starting to define themselves! I am stoked.

I will update with pictures again in prob. a week.

I want to see how rootbound, if at all, theses get with one gal first, Like I stated before headroom is limited in the new flowering cab. I may go about this route for each strain I have, try it out with one gal and then go to two.

Appreciate the responses guys, checked on them this morning and there looks to be like some trichs forming, I will have to get out the camera and see what I can updatefor you !

Hey Ace have a quick question for you. How wide and deep is your cabi?? Looks to me like you could pack in a couple more ladies if you wanted to before it was really full.

Possumtail, this cab is a "for now cab" It is 4 ft wide by 20 inches deep and 6 ft high. My new flowering cab is about 4 ft high by 3 ft across by 4 ft in depth, but the finishing touches are still being put on it.

I could honestly put 7 more clones in there, but when I sexed my moms they left me with 14 ladies......so this is what i have at the moment. If I plan to stick with 1 gal pots my new room will accept 30 girls and by then I will hopefully have everything dialed in.

This is my first grow in 6 years and I am trying to learn to be more efficient then I was when I was a novice.

the girls are showing trichs already and its been 16 days, I am stoked that I am a 1/4 of the way there and they are looking so promising! Once I get it down, I will be doing a full SoG, but right now I am keeping them as close to the 400 watt footprint as possible, but I am not denying the lower branches light, I will let theses 14 grow to their best potential
also where can I get a jewelrs loupe? Ebay? I heard something can be obtained at radio shack but is it powerful enough?

appreciate it DB, its ok for my first I could fit 7 more ladies in there but that is not how it panned out...I have a 600 on the way and another votex 6" fan, try my lick with a 600 air cooled and in a smaller space....well somewhat, just head room is limited. I can go with 30 girls in the new cab.

I will run this cali skunk next time with the moms that I have chosen out of my ladies.

I am getting a Super Sun 2 with a quantum ballast. Pretty stoked. Should be here soon, but I am still putting the finishing touches on my new cab, So I might get to use it possible the last half of this grow.

Ok well I have been super busy with everything, finally got my new light in, 600 watt Supersun2 and I ended up getting a galaxy balast. The place online did not have value line fans but they substituted another fan an active air 400cfm. So I have been putting the finishing touches on the new room and such.

Heres an update on the grow, the girls are fattening up, and god love those fat bottom girls.

Heres a few pictures, I have a few girls that got root bound super fast, but I could not get rid of the mom cause they do not stretch as much and the buds are bigger. So do not mid the ones that look like poo.

also anyone who may be looking, plan on getting a dslr, around the 700 range. what are some good options, lenses are a plus and macro is a must. I am looking for some decent add ons to the camera so I was looking at the pentax k2000 i think it was, seemed decent. what are your thoughts?

i have no idea about camera's i always end up taking horrible pictures anyway
