Would you sign for beans?

Well the way I see it, there probably isn't going to be a cop stationed there just waiting for little ol' you to show up. Wait a day or two if you're really worried about it, but if it were me I would just go get em.

my oppinion is(and it aint worth much) if you are presently cultivating where your id says you live leave um there. if not go get um im fairly sure you will have to show your id it is most likely no big deal but it JUST AINT WORTH IT if it is.

This newb got tired of hermies from his free mexi stock.
He ordered beans from a reputable vendor in Canada.

Sadly this newb got a card from USPS in his PO Box. They state
a signature and in-person pickup is required. Newb checked
with vendor, he states it is cool- a PO error.

Should I pick up in-person? This is Texas, crazies rule here.

Thanks. Punk
As far as I know you can't be responsible for what comes in the mail for you as far as you know it was tomato seeds. How did you know what was in there so no I can't see how this is a problem for you. I would call the company and ask them if this is a normal thing as you thought they would just deliver it. peace out Headband707:joint:

The fear and paranoia prevalent in this thread probably account for more seeds lost than customs actually seize.

Come on people.

First of all, if customs found em, they would have just green taped it and that would be the end of it.

Second, do you really think that the feds are going to dedicate manpower to bust someone cuz they have 5 seeds sent to em?!?!?!

Third, do you really think that the feds, who aren't going to dedicate any time for a 5 seed order, are going to open his package without a warrant (or somehow rush one through for 5 seeds?!?!) and then pass that information along to local authorities?

Ya but he said hes from Texas, im not sure you understand the mentality in TX, i lived there for awhile and its crazy down there, if you get caught with a joint, your goin to jail, for sure, theyll runa couple dogs thru your car, rip it apart, they see weed the same as crack or meth, Bunch of cowboys down there, alotta hard core religious people...

I dunno, i wouldnt take the chance, id call it a loss and order from gypsy or Sb, but then again im extra paranoid ... And whats the point of having a PO box if you put all your info on it anyways??

Yea! I got 'em.

I did have to sign for them, electronically as well as enter my PO Box number- with ID. I did note that the guy before me had to do the same thing for a small box, so I think it may be the old men at that Post Office.

I figured if they knew already and wanted to bust me, they would have come to my house. So I said, 'Screw It.'

Peace. I look forward to posting results. Thanks all.

Yeah, just like looking out the window all day and watching white vans drive by thinking "omg they are watching me, they must know" lol

Truth is, they don't lurk or play cat & mouse games - they come through the door.

Any seeds sent to you should NEVER be in your name. You have to have deniability.
Technically you can't get in trouble for seeds if you did not order them right?

Current Resident works wonders....

After the Patriot Act, most international mail requires a signature.

Some Post Offices are lazy and don't always do this, but it's supposed to be standard operating procedure regardless of whether the sender checked "No Signature Requuired" or not.

Doing this is also about they only way they will try to bust you (controlled delivery), but I'm guessing you have nothing to worry about.

I don't believe this is true. Thousands and thousands, probably hundreds of thousands of pieces of international mail enter the US every day and are delivered without a signature. I've gotten a number of foreign letters from Canada, Spain and England myself without a signature, just delivered into my mailbox with all my other mail. Maybe just parcels require a signature.
My advice is to ask someone you don't really like very well to pick it up for you. Preferably some anti pot drug warrior. If they get popped, deny all knowledge.

Hello,
During This Year I Got Hooked On Ebay. I Can't Tell You How Many Thousands I Blew Away. It's To Embarrassing! But I Had Received 100's Of Envelopes To 100# Boxes From Every Part Of The Globe. The Only Time I Had To Sign Is When The Seller Requested It.
Thank You

Good to hear you got the seeds. I would have said go, but I like arguing with judges.

I'm kind of sketchy with Canada. We are not on good terms. I was only doing what the Canadian wanted. To deliver his 10'' Meade LX200. From that experience I got this edge on Canada and Canadians. I should just hold the grudge against it's people. They don't want to do the duty when buying in the USA, they'd rather have someone else break the laws for them.

Then there was that Emery thing.....
