I have been running a 8 600 watt lights with 4 3x6 ebb and flow trays 1 plant per square foot. The plants start in 3x4 inch rockwool cubes and are vegged in a separate room till they are 20 inch's then moved to the flower room where they going into hydroton and placed on a coco mat. There are two separt 100 gallon resiviors. Each res supplies 2 3x6 table. Im running gh lucas formula with koolbloom liquid and h2o2. I have done this for 2 other cycles without any problems. Now half the plants are showing calcium deficiency. I tried to add techniflora CalMag to the res and within 36 hours there was a layer of hard calcium on the bottom of the resi. Any ideas what is pulling the calcium out of water? The plants are looking worse everyday despite 2 water changes with complete flushes.

Well, common sense would dictate that since the only thing you changed is the koolbloom then that's the problem, but I just don't see how. The liquid isnt as strong as the powder, unless you added too much? How much per gallon did you add? Whats the ppm of your mix?

except that its only hapenning to 1 res and the plants its supplying. so im kind of going out on a limb but im wondering if there is a problem with one of the pumps and its sending out an electrical charge that is pulling the calcium out of the h2o

That would be wild! I guess switch out the pump and go from their? If you don't mind keep me posted on if it was the pump.

My nutes are almost identical and im having this issue with a more-sativa pheno PPP. None of the other strains or other PPPs are having issues. Little rust like spots on one of the middle nodes leaves. No where else though... tuned in for a solution.

Edit: saw the response about the pump. I know for sure that cant be my issue, as 7 others are on this pump and are growing flawlessly.

yeah,
Are you adding each nutrient separately stirring well in between?

Another thought I had was that you could put a heater in the res to bring the temps up. Solids stay in solution easier in warmer water.
