Venting a 2 chamber grow cab through one outlet?

I have a grow cab with a flower area on the bottom and a veg on top. I'm looking to vent both areas through one outlet. The planned exhaust item for the flower chamber has a 6" outlet. So my plan is to run a 6" duct up and through the veg chamber and out the top of the cab. I know i will need some type of "y" connector in the veg chamber to connect the exhaust from there.
but i'm wondering if anyone has a similar setup? any problems you encountured?
i will be running a hps for flower so the exhaust will have to be on the big side to control temps. in the veg chamber i will be running t5's so even though i havent decided on a exhaust fan yet, i know it isn't going to be anything powerful. I'm afraid of the exhuast from the flower chamber somehow getting around anupside down "y and heating the veg chamber. Am i just over thinking this, or could there be a problem with this design?
I wish i could photoshop something, but i'm horrible at it.

Thanks

Why don't you just put a light-proof vent between the two chambers? And then have a simple exhaust vent out of the top chamber.

I did something similar only on a larger scale. I vent my veg room into the bloom room...and then I exhaust out of the bloom room with a fan/scrobber combo.

I use darkroom vents which provide good passive airflow while blocking light.

intake from the veg cab to the flower cab through the hood if you got a coolable then to the fan and out.
my setup runs the exhaust of flower through the veg chamber, temps dont get that high.

That would work... or you could just have the "Y" upside down... and then you would have a longer duct for the flowering room going up to the "Y' left or right side... with the Veg having a short duct to the opposite of the "Y" (left or right) then have the single slot venting up out of the room. It also depends on how many fans you need... I would just try to overshoot with one fan.

hope this helps... I'm pretty ripped right now...lol.

this is almost what i'm planning expect i will have an exhaust fan in each chamber venting into the same exhaust pipe. not one fan taking the air out of each chamber.

have pics? very curious since you vent from flower through veg, and most have suggested veg through flower.
its not reccomended as the positive pressure is hard to seal and the heat coming off of the flower cab is passed through, but it works for my system and im happy. in the future i will run the intake through the veg into the flower but until then this is working flawlessly.
the black hose is the intake sucking air through the hood, if runs down to the blower fan.

from the fan if goes through the door into the left side of the veg box, pressurizing the box. the pressure is exausted out the left side of the box through the white hose and out the window.

simple one fan setup.

Freeride thanks for the pics. I was thinking of something different. I wasn't planning on blowing the flower chamber air into the veg chamber.
I want to run the exhaust pipe through the veg chamber and have the veg chamber exhaust tie into the same pipe and then have it go out the top. that way only one exhaust hole.
I know it could be simple by just venting each chamber on its own. but i'm trying to keep it as stealth as possible.
i will try and photoshop a pic as best as i can and post it tonight.

but thanks for all of the replies, please keep them coming.
