Marijuana, LSD and Ecstasy Safer than Tobacco, Alcohol

Ok to all the cannabis is less dangerous then E people, I used to agree till reading this guys study like 4 months back. Pure E is nearly impossible to OD on and after a year of no use, its impossible to tell someone apart that used it everyday to someone that never touched it. Where as you can tell someone that smoked weed for a year to someone that never touched it, years and years later. It is not the case with E.

Umm, the only way you can tell someone smoked weed until a year ago is from their lungs and that's just if they smoke it. There's no way you could tell someone who vaped everyday until a year ago from someone who has never seen a bud. I do agree that MDMA is made out to be a lot more dangerous than it really is though, people seem to think it's the devil in pill/powder form.

You seem to have missed my post entirely, not once did I mention mushrooms.
I agree shrooms deserve the same respect as cannabis.
Imo we should have enough respect for our body to not take e's.
Also you say THC, like it is cannabis, its not.

Ps- Nice mushroom collection, in a way they are more natural than the weed most of us smoke because they are wild.

I know you didn't mention mushrooms, but I didn't only talk about mushrooms, did I? You were talking about LSD, and LSD and psilocybin are very similar in their effects. I was simply saying that we should leave other people with other preferences in drugs the freedom that we want for ourselves with weed, especially when it comes to things like LSD, MDMA and mushrooms which we're made to believe are extremely fucking dangerous when in fact they're quite harmless. I didn't mean to offend you or anyone else. Also, while cannabis isn't THC, THC is the main active compound in cannabis so when talking about the effects of cannabis, you're more or less talking about the effects of THC (yes, I know there's other stuff in there that affects the high etc), so I'm sorry for any confusion that might have caused. But my point still stands, we have to be as tolerant towards other drugs as we would like people to be towards weed, else we're just as hypocritical as the government. Also, how does not taking MDMA correlate to having respect for your body? There's way worse stuff you could take, even more, that stuff is legal. Barbiturates are still sold as tranquilizers and anti-seizure meds, benzos are commonly mistaken for harmless drugs but they actually have quite the addiction potential etc etc. Now I'm not saying that those things are bad when used recreationally, I've taken benzos for fun before and had a good time, but their potential for harm is significantly greater than that of MDMA, LSD, psilos and weed.

Ye I know what you mean, but understand that for me, there is a big difference between magic shrooms and lsd.
Why?...Where is there origin?

Im sure there is plenty of legal drugs worse than mdma and lsd no doubt.

The body is a temple, not a laboratory.

Natural vs unnatural was never a valid argument in terms of how dangerous a drug is. Nicotine and alcohol are very natural.

Most drugs are generally very safe when the user knows what they're doing. I've had my worst experiences on caffeine, just because I took it for granted due to how accepted it is. Likewise I've always been very safe with illegal substances because I take them very seriously - testing kits, measuring doses, working my way up, making sure I know what I'm buying, etc..

MDMA is one of the safer drugs around, but we're talking pure MDMA - not the stuff laced with meth. Although meth itself isn't necessarily evil. It's a prescription drug afterall.

The term "safe" should really be defined when arguing drugs, however. All drugs including weed have some side effects. Some have worst side effects than others. Alcohol even in moderate amounts has been shown to be detrimental to your health, but so has stress. so does that mean you should drink daily because it's less dangerous than being stressed daily?

You're best off NEVER doing any drug, nor eating junk food, etc. But in practice each user should be regarded as being intelligent enough to make his or her own decisions on what is appropriate for them. Smoking weed daily might have some consequences, but for some people these consequences might not outweigh the benefits they get from using the drug, and so for them why not use it daily? Same thing applies to alcohol, coke, etc..

Natural on one level means that it has at least (in most cases) had a long history of use by humans, mushrooms and weed are basically coded into our DNA.

If any drug was evil, I think meth would fit the description pretty well imo.
You think it being a pescription drug makes it any safer?

Remember more people die from pescription drugs than illegal ones every year.

Definitely a good thing to see this put into the public perspective, especially towards the majority of voters...

We should have some respect for other drugs. Cannabis use and growing is subject to hundreds of misconceptions. We should not be nearsighted enough to demonize other drugs based on the same propaganda that makes cannabis look evil as well.

I can say that with pure E you should experience little to no crash and be out like a kitten than night because you're so physically and mentally exhausted. If you can't get to sleep 10+ hours after a pill/powder it was more than likely cut with meth.

Another scientist to the RESCUE!!!

UPDATE: Professor John Beddington, the Government's chief scientist has backed Professor David Nutt, the sacked drugs adviser, over his claims that alcohol and cigarettes are more harmful than cannabis.

On whether cannabis is less harmful than cigarettes and alcohol, Prof Beddington said: "I think the scientific evidence is absolutely clear cut. I would agree with it."

As they say in Britain: This story is still "Hotting Up!"

I agree with the first part mate, but my mate has a test kit MDMA and I can assure you that on top quality MDMA, if you keep topping up you can easily go a couple of days partying and before crashing. Crashing doesn`t have to be a bad experience. . . .lots of cushions wildlife documentaries on dvd and some choice like affected company and it can be a beautiful experience. I`m cerainly not advocating that as a safe or responsible way of using the drug, but hey niether is getting drunk, and for most of us we like to push the rule book sometimes. If you dont, fair enough, but dont start judging those who do, its not affecting you. People on MDMA cause little if any trouble to anyone, you cant say that for the main number 1 legal intoxicant. . . alcohol. I often imagine the politicians and those opposed to recreational drugs discussing their distaste for them, standing on their higher moral high ground, whilst sipping from a large brandy.

Its guy fawkes night in the uk on Thursday, so its bonfires and fireworks. . . . . woot woot. . . just the night for taking some of those little mushrooms. I`m going picking again tmro, hoping to get a few more hundered, that along with those already collected should last the winter through, maybe even save some for next year`s festivals.

As I said before though, you deprive yourself on that much sleep and you will most likely feel bitched

How about before you give me negative Karma to tell me where your coming from?
Your a new member so maybe you don't understand are compassion to each other on
IC.

Calling me a reefer-madness advocate?
I said LSD and MDMA can make you crazy...
Can marijuana NO!

Explain...
:noway:

where am i coming from?

i've done both substances. and there was a time when i believed the hype about mdma draining your spinal fluid and lsd "making you crazy" and through certain harm reduction websites and first hand experience i found out that the majority of people have no idea on what they're talking about. the fact that a scientist got shit canned for telling the truth should make it that much more clear that you have no idea on what your talking about and unless you find something out first hand, your only going to know what the people before you want you to know.

by the way anything can make you crazy including marijuana

where are you coming from?

Definitely true, friend. A crash can definitely feel beautiful, sometimes it's a thin line between a crash and an afterglow, no doubt.

I have NEVER been so happy to see my workplace as the days I have that I was 'crashing'... weird.

For anyone who decides to take MDMA, know your source and drink a SPORTS DRINK if you're dancing... replacing electrolytes with water causes hyponatremia, a swelling of the tissues of the body... Drink TOO MUCH water in lieu of electrolytes and risk a horrific death of stroke via brain swelling.

Peace everyone!

Good question, I too have done both LSD and MDMA.

My sister went to a psych ward because some one spiked her drink with a form of MDMA.

LSD, in fact makes you crazy if you abuse it.
You will go clinically insane like my good friend did.

We can both fight each other and argue but the truth is those are far from safe substances.

i have a problem with what you said because first you say this

I believe they are safer in the physical department but when it comes to the mental aspect, LSD and MDMA aren't really a safe alternative to those.. they make you straight up crazy or e-tarded.

End of story.

false information or scare tactics? id have to go with scare tactics, much like the ones they used in reefer madness

now you say this a "form of mdma", which leads me to believe you dont know shit about mdma regardless of if youve taken it or not... what happened to your sister? i want to hear more about this.

on top of that now you say lsd makes you crazy "if you abuse it." i thought you said lsd makes you straight up crazy regardless cuz you didnt include that in your first post, and you even capped it off with an End of story.

also just because you include your "sister" and "good friend" in these made of situations doesnt make them any more believable

She traveled to Europe went to a club and some dumbass spiked her drink and they did a drug test and the only thing they could identify is MDMA whether or not it had 2c-b or anything like that in it is unknown because that the indentification they provided her with.

LSD, does make you crazy if you abuse it.. next time Ill have to remember to put "can" in my posts just for you.

I'm done here.
