So I have recemented the floors and insulated and sealed the rooms, built in air circulation and heat expulsion(can be directed into the house for heat in winter, or outside in summer) within the insulation to reduce the noise. I ran a brand new circuit box and wiring just for each room, and only need to install the fixtures now. Currently im working on building a faux cinderblock Pocket door for each, it will be virtually undetectable. I would really like to put some solar panels on the roof but they are hella expensive. These rooms and what come out of them will truly be the mark i leave in this world, and probably never be seen by another set of eyes!!

Wow, sounds like youve been quite busy. This will be a dream setup though once its finished so good luck and let us know how it runs. I think you really lucked onto this house, good job!

So far my plants are growing well, theyre not big yet but everyday they look a bit larger so I think they're happy. :rasta:
My furnace has hardly run so far this month. I'm using the exhaust from my lamps to heat the rest of my apartment (have a fan blowing into the room, which pushes out all the warm air). In fact, it's been rather too warm at times, 80 or 81, and I've had to open a window to cool my place down. Maybe my gas bill this winter will be very low...

Ok so here are a few pics of my current set up before i get into my new secret rooms( about two months worth of work and 4 grand away from being done). this is the view from beside my gardening work bench and nute storage to both tents. The left is my flower chamber on a 12/12 cycle, the right is the mother/ veg room(needs to be bigger!!) and is on a 24 hour light room. in front of the veg room on the floor is the co2 tank and regulator on a timer. it flows into the intake centrifugal fan on the ceiling in-between the two tents.

picture.php

Inside the veg room, main light is a 400w MH on a 4ft track(14 min round trip) and various CFL and flouro secondary. these plants were all cloned the old fashioned way, tried and true, and rooted within 8-9 days, then placed in 10oz solo cups for 1 week to develop strong root ball then transferred to their final homes, 2 gal grow bags with my own special dirt recipe. and they have been in the 2 gal bags for 1 week now, so two weeks in dirt and doing great. The white russians will all be topped soon and the mental floss super cropped.

picture.php

the view into my flower room, main and only light is a 1000w hps on a 4 ft track(14 min round trip). mental in the front is only 8 days into flower but the 42 white russians in the back are looking lovely. i trimmed them all down to nothing but mains before flowering(for space constraint reasons having 42+9MF's in a 6x6 space) and I couldn't be happier with the results, each plant looks to have close to an ounce of dried herb judging by many past harvests of the same strain.

i know its not the best set up by any means but for a temporary thing its doing great, my record so far is 1.75 pounds from 1 1000w light in a single harvest. that was with only 31 plants, I'm friggin stoked.

Chef, I'm lookin at you pic's, and if I remember right we have the same tents. my plants in my tent are all droopy, with the leaf curl no matter what. ive tried different ph levels. my temps are ok could be better. So i have a cool tube on the way. But im wondering if its the tents!!!!

I emailed the company. no reply. If you check their website they have mylar lined tent, that specify NONTOXIC. But the white ones dont specify.

i have never had a problem with the tents, and when i got mine the ebay auction specified non-toxic. what are your temps like? what kind of medium are you growing in? what strains? hows your humidity? can you post some pics for me to look at?

The 1st time I seen Bob was on Bell ilse in the late 60's. A radio station was haveing a promo Easter egg hunt. We heard a sound check starting, made our way in that direction, There were about 100 seats and for the first 1/2 hour only 6 of us in the audiunce. Seen him about 5 times since that time, every show better than the last one. Yea Detroit !!!!!!!

I've used the same tents. Never had a problem, I would support the notion that it is something to do with environmental conditions such as heat or humidity. Also what nutes are you using? I've had ones like Biobizz that would never stay at a stable ph in hydro. While others like GH and Technoflora seem to hit the right PH as soon as you pour them in and hold it for about 1 1/2 to 2.

Do you have a PH and TDS tester? I would make sure those levels are taken care of. The cooltube will help, get a nice 300+ cfm squirrel cage fan with flange, and you will be golden on heat. Also, make sure you are using half the strength of the recommended nutrient rate on the back on the bottle, and as you get over towards mid flowering you can start going up to 70% of the recommended nutes.

Growers rarely even use the 100% recommended strength, especially in vegatative growth stages. It can very easily cause problems.

PhilCuisine,

Could you break down the genetic background of Shrek on the bay?

Thanks

genetics are crosses of clone only strains bro....there was this one indica strain that smelled a lil like Train Wreck lemonly/gasoline but totaly the oppisit spectrum...it was more of a heavy indica high....Ogre was also a big yielder..it was suppose to be a mutant strain of sensi star......im kicking myself in the ass for losing the strain about 2 yrs. ago but b4 i lost it i made my own cross of Ogre..hope this helps.

Ogre x ?? = Ms. Ogress

Ms. Ogress x Train Wreck = Ms. O'wreck

Ms. O'wreck x Schrom = Schreck

Ms. Ogress....click on Homemade strains for more pix of Ms. Ogress

Ps, is the strain Ogre still around? i kno of 1 og buddy going thru seeds of sensi star looking for the Ogre pheno..btw, i sent some Vietnam Thunder Fuck seeds to a place across the big pond for a test grow.....so hopefuly I'll have my genetics being grown in Europe.. I got dogs i've bred in europe why not my own pot strains...:woohoo:

keep up the good work midwest

have you called the company yet smoke1sun?

Hello:

Note that we've sold hundreds (yes, hundreds) of tents with the white lining, with professional, licensed growers among our customers. If the tents indeed have problems, these licensed growers would not have bought from us. Furthermore, a majority (if not all) of customers of these tents would have complained (since the tents would have killed their plants too). And yet, there are only a few that claimed the tents to be the cause of their failed crops. Why? The only plausible explanation is that OTHER factors were the true culprits that made their plants die. But since many people have heard that some of the HydroHut branded tents (we do not sell them, by the way) had the off-gassing issue, these few customers automatically jump to the conclusion that the tents must have been the problem, which is ridiculous. There are so many factors that can affect the outcome of a crop: seedlings, nutrients, light, water, air, temperature, etc.,just to name a few. To look at it from another perspective...why would any store want to continue selling tents that are known to have problems, since it would only hurt them in the end? If the true cause of plant failures are not identified, switching to another type of tent may not solve the problem.

And about our responding to those feedbacks...it is not that we do not address them, but rather because eBay restricts sellers to only a single reply to a feedback, while the buyers have two chances (the original comment, and a follow up comment to the seller's response). It is a restriction that we found out only recently. What this means is that the buyers can say whatever they want, however untrue it may be, and the seller cannot respond to it at all.

Some customers have questioned about whether the tents are non-toxic, so we've started to update our tent listings to include "non-toxic", but we're not done yet, therefore you may not see it in all listings at the moment...

This was the reply i got, and they could be right. Ill find out when i get my cool tube. My temps are in the low 80's.

I use cns-17 at 5ml per gallon, and i have RO water, as my plants take it i bump the cns up to 10ml per gallon, then go back down to 5ml 30days into flower and add 1/4 teaspoon ofv powder koolbloom per 2 gallons.

Its a vertical setup with a few drip buckets at the bottom.

This is a pic when i 1st put them in my 1st run with the system. Thanks folks. when my tube comes we will see. Already got my extra stanley blower to pull threw.

I do not own a ppm meter or a ph meter. I use the GH drops to test my PH.

smoke: looks like youre on the right track, but i can almost guarantee that its your heat and humidity. The cool tube may help but im not a fan of them because they dont seem to have as much coverage as a regular reflector. I am running the two 6x6 tents with one exhaust fan for both (650 cfm into charcoal filter), and one intake at 280 cfm. the combination of the two keeps my rooms at a slightly negative pressure (walls suck in a bit) and a very constant temperature of 73 degrees and a slightly differing humidity (from 35% to 50% depending if the plants were watered that day). The only time i usually get droopy leaves is when i miss a watering day or towards the end of the flower cycle when i cut back on watering all together. i grow in soil so its a bit more forgiving and really helps to keep the humidity in line.

they dont look very sickly to me, i seen the ones that have suffer from gas and they got alot of yellow if i remember correctly, over watering produces droopy plants too, i recently let some of mine get to dry and they have a leaf cupping /slight droop to some of them

good point, it may be a case of nute lock as well. this usually goes hand in hand with over watering. Try flushing the plants with some clearex or other salt leaching solution after letting them dry out for a day or two. are the leaves dry and droopy or still lush and droopy? do they have any spotting or yellowing?

I'm looking for an extremely citrusy or lemon flavored indica strain, any suggestions? preferably 60 day flower or less and a decent yield, say 1 oz per 3ft plant or higher.

This was year or so ago, but thought DNA Genetics ? had a release of Lemon Skunk. Mostly sativa but had zesty lemon characteristics.

think was under 10 weeks flower time also. very nice cola formation for a sativa influenced pheno. check around... peace, canna
