HELP

ok so i have recently made the switch to organic teas for my girls. why is my tea PH at 4.5 when its done brewing? recipe i used is as follows-

1/3 cup EWC
2 tbs molasses
2 tbs high N guano
1 tbs liquid humus
1-2 tbs of maxicrop liquid seaweed.

all that in about 2 gallons of tepid water. brew for 36 to 48 hours then dilute 50/50 with tepid water. PH after dilution is 4.5. WTF? i used some canna rhizotonic to bring my ph up to 5.9 to 6.1.

I only ph´d my water before I added anything. Now all those ingredients will lower the ph because they are all acidic. What was the ph of the tepid water before dilution?

What a great thread. It's fun watching a passionate grower PLAY in their garden. I think that each and every one of us, if you think back to your first few grows, will recall that it was fun and play that made the experience so rewarding.

I am going to think about going to larger tubs with multiple plants now. I think I'll run some plants from seed in my regular pots, then when I find my mums and start running clones, I'll pop 3-4 plants in each tub. Makes so much sense from a soil biology perspective.

Thanks for sharing your grow, brother.

A quick question on your seedling soil mix. You mention the dolomite lime in the amount of 2 TBS, but 2 TBS in relation to what? 1 CF of soil. 2 CF of soil.

Thanks, just trying to clarify so I can understand how you organic folks do your thing as I am trying to perfect my efforts after a switch from hydro.

Tea is often that acidic ..if you use good dolomite lime in your mix it won't matter..I checked my tea for fun an hour ago andi t is 5.2
