Can you check your links, those aren't working.

Yeah the pics are`nt showing mate.

Yeah Ec14 max Ec incluting the water`s Ec, but max mate. Best to give them a flush until the run off reads the same Ec that you`re putting in, or close (ie fresh water`s EC). Then feed with MAX of Ec14, I`d personally go a litle lower than that. After a couple of days feeding, check the run off Ec against what you`re feeding and if its anything more than .1 or .2 higher, then lower the feed Ec again. The plants should tell you when you have it right this way.

When i switched to coco. i fix a half nute mix of rez formula 6/9 which came out to 3/6 a little calmag...then i flushed my coco to get all the dirty brown/red water out then i squeeze all the water out and dump in my half strength mix..let sit for 30 min to a hour... dump..squeeze all the water out and put in pots...have never had plants as green and healthy ever!!! oh and i learned from a few other especially whodi that the no runoff thing is kinda true... coco in my experience holds lots of water..hope this helps ..peace

Poor sods eh?

Its hard to tell from the photo`s but it looks like some sort of lock out, prob from over ferting and maybe too wet too long.

Be gentle with the feed/fert now, I think they`ll need nursing back a bit. dont have them too close to a hot light.

er. . . maybe too dry for too long. . . . Ah I`m a bit stoned and thinking, probably badly, out loud. . . .

. . . .T;-)

OP, I think you are having problems for the same reasons I did when switching to coco. You are setting your pH at the same level as a hydro grow.

For coco, I have found that your nutrient water should be pH'd at about 6.5. I always keep it between 6.3-6.6.

I read a lengthy article recently that showed me the facts. In a coco environment, many of the N-P-K-Mg, can't be absorbed if the pH is any lower than 6.0. Give it a try at 6.5 for a week, and love the results!

got a link or at least a source?

I am not exactly sure where I had read it, but this might help you see the benefits of a bit higher pH range.

Here's a pic of a pH chart that shows the different availabilities:

Notice at 6.5 pH, especially for flower, only Iron isn't 100%.

those look underwatered to me. letting the coco dry too much is going to lead to problems and imbalances among the nutrients. with those size plants and pots, twice a day would be ideal

double your watering frequency at full strength with runoff. see if you don't see a massive difference overnight. you simply CANNOT overwater coco with plants that size.

oh and what kind of water are you using? tap? are you hand watering?

i am using tap water at 120-140ppm through tall boy. Then i am adding cal mag to get it up to .4ec and am feeding with CANNA A+B now because someone said i should try a coco specific nute to see if i can't get the twisting to go away.

I think that charts like these are substrate-specific. and judging by the line at 6.3, I'm thinking this may be a soil chart.

it also appears that Cal, Mag, and Molyb are also less than 100%, which becomes important due to high number of comments concerning cal and mag.

FWIW, i too have not been very successful with the lower pH values (<5.8) in coco, but i'm still experimenting.

can you explain how you water and the frequency? I feel that this is an overall underwatering problem

well at the time those photos were tkaen it was a every two day affair and retardley so. but i wat to take some more pictures tomorrow if i can get the camera. they look lots better but the gdp has some clawing and the sweets are overall great.

here are some pictures, the tacoing in the leaves has gone away, there is still curling on 1 or two leaves, like the wavy curling. then there is also like 2 leaves per plant that are "clawed", the leaves don't look terribly urned except in the tip a little on a few.

at the base of the plant, the new growth is loosing its color a little bit. The thing i am mainly worried about is the purpling in the petioles and the purple lines that are on the stem. Its really buggin me and i can't figure it out.

they are under an 8 bulb T5 plenty of light and are being fed Canna coco A+B at .7 EC. my water EC is .3 so i add botanicare cal-mag plus until it goes up to .4 EC as per the instruction canna gave some guy in another thread.
