Anybody run different lights through on time for flower?

Definitely struggling how to ask this question right. I'm beginning flower, am out my big 1000HPS bulb and broke, left with a 1000MH and 150 watt hps.

What are your thoughts of running, on 12/12, 150HPS for first 4 hours, 1000Mh for next 4 hours, then 150 for last 4. Would give plants the red they want to make sure they flower soon, get power still, and it would kinda immitate sunlight i guess!

any hermie concerns?

No hermi concerns. I would run them both at the same time.

MH puts out less light, but more UV-B with is directly related to the QUALITY not size of the buds.

Sounds like massive light deprivation to me. People flower with MH alone all the time.

Hi Igignokt,
I run 400 hps with 400 mh for the entire grow with great results.
I kind of agree with pipeworks the hps seems brighter. Both lights reside within the same 4 foot cooltube, So I rotate the plants from one end of the cab to the other during the grow and they all theoreticaly get the same exposure. My concept is like your theory, its maybe more like actual sunlight. I know people who have used just 1000 mh and had great success. I've been wanting to talk about using both, but did'nt want to start a thread. (not trying to hijack) hope this info helps. Good luck on your grow!

I would run both, at the same time. and then buy another 1000 hps
