I know I just get here, and no sooner I am seeing things! 
But I saw something strange a short time ago. I was walking around outside at night, and noticed blue flashes. I look up, and as if it noticed me, it flashed a couple more blue flashes in a split second, then there was a white flash then yellowish white.
Then I thought it was a meteorite, but then the brief swirl of lights changing color stopped and for a brief instant it looked like a low sessna plane (but with constant instead of flashing lights), and it seemed to be slowly soaring and then was just gone!
All this took just a few seconds, 3 maybe. First I thought it was lightning, but there were only high thin clouds (mostly overcast but then stars were visible a short time later), and it was just this brief burst of flashing and then nothing, and I watched for at least 10 minutes. In this same area of the sky in the past, I noticed blue lights before, but then I heard a vehicle moving away and knew it was a cop that had stopped someone on the rural road several hundred feet or about 1/4 mile away. There was no sound whatsoever, not vehicles and not those noisy sessnas that seem to be flying over at dawn and dusk a lot more lately. The whole quickly changing events was unprecedented. One other time I also saw something but it happened too fast to even begin to interpret it.
It was as if some drone-like thing was taking pictures but it would have had to have long legs like a wading bird to be perched in the tree. It soared slowly for like a second and then just vanished as if it cloaked itself. It was just unexplainable, not the traditional things described in most UFO sightings but still strange. How about you? Anyone see anything strange in the sky? and what would you think I saw? Judging by many threads here, it is an end of the world hostile invasion or something!
