If we legalize it criminals will go away to find some other prohibited substance to use to make money. Those of us who love the herb will continue to grow simply for the love of the plant. Only an individual ,regardless of ethinicty ,who has love of only money, would grow unflushed,chemical laden crap for a quick profit. Kind of reminds me of our mainstream frood supply doesn't it! I live in the Sacramento area and those illegal indoor grows have been going on alot longer than most people think. With so many people defaulting on their home loans the banks can't keep up with the people that are committing mortgage fraud. All the gangs have to do is hire a real estate lawyer to put off the banks from foreclosing on the property and they can continue to grow for years without having to make payments on a mortgage. When the banks do get possession of the house it will be in really bad shape because the gangs will have gone through maybe a dozen harvests without doing upkeep on the place. This is bad for our cannabis culture. It makes us look like we are all criminals and oddly enough I applaud the DEA for getting these guys. The DEA just needs to realize that not all cannabis users are greedy thugs out for the dollar. Much love to the real cannabis culture.

Seems to me, if marijuana was legalized, then there would be MORE problems. More rippers. More growers tearing up real estate. More growers who tell their friends and get ripped. More growers who don't tell, but smell, and get ripped. More people stealing marijuana, more people reporting marijuana thefts (because its legal now) and end the end a complete chaotic society because its legalized. Maybe my immagination is broken?

Can a Mortgage Company hold your insurance check for the repair of your building? My building suffered damage with a hail storm. The insurance company sent me a check made out to the mortgage company and to me. Now the Mortgage company is holding the funds and I can't finish the repairs needed. My mortgage payments are up to date.

Nah, they can't do that if you're up-to-date, I have no idea how you would go about trying to get that straightened out, you may need to hire a lawyer or serve them some papers yourself (try legalzoom.com).

we'll here in the uk the triads are flourishing and its been going on for years ..... but i must admit i have benefited from it .. i bought 3 nearly new 10 inch centerfugals from a guy who's a plasterer. he was sent to a job .... and it was a Chinese grow - a whole house ..the cops emptied most of it but were too lazy to empty the loft and the plasterer went up and found it all and took them home and put them on the net for sale ... i got them for next to nothing ..am happy with that. but they arrested a 17 year old Chinese illegal immigrant.... now thats the bit that made me feel sorry for the poor kid .. but thats what they do.. exploit vulnerable desperate immigrants..

Here's an interesting thought... could the proliferation of large home grows in the 90s also inflate the price of homes significantly by causing a supply shock as they say in economics?

One could correlate that data, possibly a decrease in the number of imported marijuana busts, increasing home grow busts, both gradually occurring as mean home prices rise (possibly with electricity costs rising as well)

Presuming my theory is correct. It is only a theory.

Id say 95% of large busts in the Uk are Chinese/Viatnamese Cartel Owned Grows - and massive KW usage for domestic properties e.g 50 - 60 lamps

Last week a newspaper printed some photos of a recent bust. They had some photos of the room used to dry the product - it consisted of about 10 - 15 HPS lights all switched on, below them was a floor full of skunk. It was gettin toasted, id say they dry it out in 24 hrs from plant to bag no wonder it tastes shit!!!!!!!

They even busted a regional manager a few months ago who had a diary of all his grow addresses - 19 in total!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! haha, i bet that hurt when they found that!!!!! lol

That was up in the north-east mate,he had all the grow houses marked on his sat-nav.

In the last couple years in Cali they have been crackin Vietnamese and Chinese left and right. Many houses of there's have gone down. The vietnamese gangs have been here for a while now but it got really heated in the 90's when the vietnamese gangs where pushing the vast amounts of beasters from Canada. Now they have moved shop to the states. I would say that local cali growers hate these guys. Go up into the hills anywhere in Cali and ask around. There is no love and any vietnamese gangs that move into the hills are quickly ratted out. As far as I am concerned they are taking good California's jobs!!! Grow for California and Californian's.
