Kind Memories of your Childhood

Have you ever smelled a kind of bud as a child, maybe being somewhere you shouldn't have been around adults that were smoking it, and it stuck with you until this day?

I remember Hash Plant and a Skunk variety from the early 1980's as plainly as I do or would today.

Anything THAT memorable or a similar memory?


Speaking of varities, breeders and brand names and all. Those are all someones creation.



Since it's unique to the culture, thought it'd be a good question for the strains and hybrids category. You're the best to remember and identify them.

The weed my dad used to smoke was pretty strong, I could smell it from a mile away. As far as a I know he always smoked cheap sh!t, smells nice but dont think it'd be anything I'd want to smoke.

my stepdad would always have the skunkest weed. just straight stunky.
master bedroom would always wreek.
but for some reason my room would smell liek weed. cant say i complained but i noticed it as i started smoking but never was my weed smellign it up.
remember seeing a lot of ducting and work on the wall and air flow shit.
please believe. as i moved out to college. i realized their was a growroom in my wall for the past 5 years.
so the basement always freezing. big dehumidifer. and crazy purple nugs id jack from my stepdads stash, were homegrown hmmmmmmm
makes sense now.....

Yeah, my first time smelling it was at Ozzfest when I was 11. Until my first time smoking at 13, I would always forget what it smelled like, until the next concert I went to, and then I would remember it.

I was always pissed that everyone would be passing around joints, but wouldn't pass it to me...

But this needs to be moved to the Toker's Den, as it really has nothing to do with Strains and Hybrids...

My pop used to get kilos of hash from turkey and roll up hash and something called "Bofra"(sp?). When I started smoking weed, that memory rushed to me. I was like three years old when I got a hold of a pair of his hemostats and took em out to playwith my friends. Luckily, my friends parent were inside smoking with my dad. I will never forget that smell though. He said they used to pick the opium out since the Turks used the same screen for opium and hash.

Only super dank sativas give me that memory now. Something about that spiciness. IDK.

I remember walking into rooms that held the distinct smell of some freshly burnt Skunk as I was growing up; never caught the parents directly, but I sure as hell knew what that smell was whenever I smelled it. Never fruity, or musty, just damn skunky.

That reminds me of going to concerts.

I remember my bro in law fresh back from Nam taking apart a Thai stick. Also, taking a hit of my first joint when I was 12 given to me by my older sis. I remember chugging massive amounts of Koolaid right after.

my uncle's house smelled of some good columbian type bud, now when I smell a good deep chunk type smell i get that memory.
