Rock Flower Juice - DO NOT USE!

There's an additive going around here in oz called 'Rock Flower Juice'. Supposed to make your buds super-heavy.

DON'T USE IT!

Out of my 6 plants it killed 5, the guy at the hydro shop where I purchased it assured me it wasn't the RJ that killed em, so I used it again on my next batch and it killed them too!

The one plant that's left developed really bad mould in the crowns, forcing me to pick early. I've heard about a fair few other people getting the mould problem too, seems I was the only unlucky one to have it kill their plants though.

I'm growing G13 x Skunk so it's not like it was crap weed either. The plants that I have now and haven't been 'infected' with rock juice are going great.

Stay the hell away from this stuff. I could kill the arseholes that make this shit, I lost a lot of money in electricity and having to buy smoke.

i think lots of ppl are saying the same as you...i think also alot of ppl that do use it say dont use it as per directions but use at a lower dose....(whats the dose recommended ... lol dont ask me now)

i was about to use it once....didnt get a chance to crack the seal before my plants got taken....looking back i dont even know why i wanted to use it....just a test?...man i really dint even like the taste of those sort of buds...yup neither did someone else that gave me oz that they were given....just search and find a good heavy pheno is the best thing to do.yup we all want more buds for the time/effort we put in....rock juice ect is just the wrong way to do that....good luck with it all man...sorry about the losses.HH. =]-~

Reading the roms somewhere somebody did somebody a favour saying that you only use 1/4 of the label amount.
Cant remember cant recall but i even heard where they say 3-4ml per litre.
its best to use no more then 1/2ml per litre.
Thats stuff is poison and the best advice is upgrade your genetics rather then wishing for some miracle weight boost. It makes your smoke taste like chems.All your friends will get the chits wit yu for Spraying your weed.
You lose more then just electricity, it makes you feel like you are giving yourself Cancer just for a 10-20% increase in weight but the Glands cease producing Resin.

I am not a fan of the stuff at all and I agree totally with the others about just obtaining a chunky strain. But Quentin is right about the doses. I did use it at 0.5ml/l (in coco, which would make it around 1ml/l in a regular hydro system - thats just a rough guide) and it did exactly what it said on the bottle.

I think their label designer was smoking too much PGR'd shit because it's the most nonsensical ambiguous instructions I've come across. Very ambiguous wording and as you can see now, the dosage is WAY OFF. Lucky for me I picked up on that and did a little research on the net, or maybe it was because I wanted to ask if it was meant to smell like burnt rubber. I'm sorry you had to lose your plants mate...damn. Both the hydro store guy and manufacturer deserve a stern slap.

Anyway, with this in mind, I wanted to say that nothings been proven about cancer but from my own experience, I got the chunkiest tightest buds I've ever seen, except all the strains smelt the same PGR smell, and seemed to be a reduced yield in weight and especially size - really tiny ounces. And a very visible reduction in trichomes ie potency. But it looks like the best shit ever.

I have used PGRs to control sativa reveg in the tropics and it sort of worked but again we get back to the same point: just get a chunky strain - you can get a few packs of seeds for the price of rock juice.

Yeah bummer on me fluro grow under the cupboard, it almost ruined them looked like monster weed experiments. Taste like rubbish couldnt move it.well at first anyway its all bad news and ruins your plans.I still walk everywhere damn.

There is a similar product in the UK, called Rox, reccomended at 3ml per ltr. I know people that use it at 1ml per ltr for a week and get good results and i know people that use it at the reccomended and have wiped out their grow - it seems really hit and miss
Dont know if its any better than roxy, its still a PGR product tho.

Cheers for the replies, know it's been a while but busy busy

I just use A+B nutes and oxy now. Very simple. Getting great results. I've had 2 x harvests of 'CH9 Flower' (feminised) and the ounces are a good size, not tight and tiny but not too huge.

I think I may need an anti-fungal spray for the buds though, I've had to pick early twice because of mould.

'Grow No.2' Pics had no veg, just straight into flowering. I harvested 15oz from 9 plants'.

Grow No.3' were given 2 weeks of veg, and are in their 3rd week of flowering (I also tipped them once at the beginning of veg).
Notice how much they grew in one week. Unfortunately they've gotten too big already and I've been snapping alot of branches.

Next grow I will do 3 or 4 days of veg and tip them once. I want to achieve 2 big colas and around 6-8 lower branches. . As you can see from the first set of pics the CH9 strains grow remarkably like the plants seen in 'Pineapple Express'. I want my future grows to be like this but have 2 x main colas.

I've taken clones from most of those plants in 'Grow No.3' so I can hopefully pick a decent mother.

Hi reafbreakerx i wouldnt be angry at the people who made it but angry at the people who sold it to you ROCK JUICE is strictly for commercial grows only and the people at your shop should be well aware of this and should of warned you also the instructions on the bottle are not the best i have a friend that did commercial grows for years and used superbud and rock juice both pretty much identical products in my eyes he just backed off his nutes to half strength when using it and only used it for 7-10 days from week 3 of flower, the best product to use to increase weight is PK 13-14 from my experience but like others have said if u want rock hard buds or heavy buds then look for a new strain as those flowering additives are strictly for commercial use and are not good for quality of end product...

Good advice Quentin yep ROCK JUICE stops the resin production thats why the same company has brought out rock resinator but like i said all these products are for commercial growers,,,For normal smokers/growers i advise to stay well clear of these commercial type flowering additives they are not good for you full stop...

Ive purchased "rocked bud" as they call it from down that way , ive seen it as solid from the right genetics without the additives ..
remember someone has to smoke that stuff at the end of the day , so the less you have to add the less u have to get rid of ..

I'm in my 5-6th week of flowering. The thing i've noticed is that my end buds are massive but not long.
I used it for turning mainly just the first and second week of flowering and now i'm just using potash and liquid lead. Anyone know what is a good turning nutrient other than rock then?

Is that a marketing name for a product or is it actual lead, a heavy metal that is toxic?

If it is the liquified metal then people using that should be strung up by their balls and flogged with a 'cat 'o nine tails' (barbed wire whip used over 100 years ago on convicts) and that is the nice version of what I think.
