How can I find how many amps my circuit has?

Hi, I'm setting up my grow room but I'm trying to make sure each outlet/plug thingy on the wall is 15-20 amps and not shared between two outlets. Is there a way i can manually check it buying a device? Also, how much would it cost to get a next outlet that is 30-40 amps? I live in Canada btw.. and I'm trying to run 3x 1000 watt and a bunch of other shit off 2 outlets and people are telling me it wouldn't be possible to be on the safe side.

Appreciate you reading this, thanks.

You will need to map your breaker panel. Take a lamp around plug by plug and keep flipping breakers off until you have figured out what plugs are controlled by what breakers. I can almost 100% gaurantee each breaker has more than 1 plug.

And you can not remove the 15 amp breaker and replace it with a 30 amp one! The wire running from the box to the outlet is installed to carry 15 amps not 30. You risk burning your house down by doing that.

Best option is running a new line dedicated for the grow from the panel, using line properly sized for the size of fuse you need to use. Consult an electrician!

You need to run several 15 or 20 amp circuits dedicated to your room. You can't run a 30 amp circuit with an outlet. it doesn't work that way.

Quick question, would it be cheaper to install a subpanel for your grow room by yourself or would it be better to just have an electrician do it to be safe? If that, how much would it cost for his services(the electrician)?

Depending on the materials required and the time involved I would estimate your costs at about 500 to 1000 dollars. BUT it will be done right, and you will not burn to death.

you really need to consult a pro, electricity is the worst thing to play with, if you do not know anything about it. At least with a gun, playing with it, you know which end is the dangerous end. With electricity, you can easily start a fire inside you walls, which you wont know about until it is too late

Hey man, just keep plugging in stuff until you flip the breaker, then you'll know for sure.

J/K, DON'T DO THAT.

Plenty of good advice already, safety over cheaper helps you sleep at night, fire will wake you up.
