I just got finished getting them all in there tonight. I'll be bending them over and staking them tomorrow night and, if needed, the night after.

All I have is a macro lens for my cam at the moment. Kinda sucks now because I can't get wide shots, but we'll all appreciate the macros later on.

Thanks for stopping through everyone.

It's been about 7 days since the flip. I got in there and bent and staked all of the plants over. So far, it looks like I'll have a pretty decent canopy. I'll continue to train for the next week or so.

In the next couple of days I'll be setting up the Blumats. While I'm down in there, I'll trim all the bottom shit off. After that, it's pretty much auto-pilot for the next 8 or 9 weeks.

hey Lapi..looking good and quickly at that!
..couple questions on the Blumat..pump or gravity fed? and do you think something like that would work in a smaller cab? I can see where they would make life a lot easier..

Thanks bro.

There are two options with these Blumats - Hard lined into your faucet or gravity fed with a rez.

Last time I used them, I had them hardlined into the faucet with great results.

For gravity feed, the reservoir needs to be elevated 1 meter for ever 10 meters of tubing being run.

This time around I'll be using an elevated rez, gravity fed. I'll be running 4 sets of tubing that stretch 27 feet or so. I'll have 4 separate lines coming off the reservoir, which will be about 4 feet off the ground.

I think it's going to be MUCH better because I'll be able to pump oxygen into the water via pump and airstone, as well as add Liquid Karma and Molasses when ever I feel like it. I'll keep it mixed with a pond pump dropped in there.

I noticed a SIGNIFICANT difference in growth with the exact same plants with the exact same soil mix hand watered vs. Blumat watered. The Blumat plants KILLED it. I think the reason is that the soil never gets ENTIRELY dried out, thus allowing all the good bacteria that I want in the soil to live and stay alive.

With the rez now, I'll be pumping oxygen into the water, which will be good for the roots and also help get rid of any chlorine in the water, plus I'll be able to add LK and molasses. None of which I was able to do hardlined, and I was AMAZED with the results. I'm really looking forward to this setup.

So, to answer your question Cellar, Yes absolutely they would work in a cabinet. They sell a "patio" kit that comes with 12 sensors, enough tubing, t's and elbow, and a reservoir hookup. That's what I started with to do my test to see if I liked them. I highly recommend them.

Not only do they make life easier and allow you to leave your plants unattended for weeks at a time if needed, but I swear the plants grow MUCH better with them vs. hand watering.

hey laps,u got me really intrested in those blumats, seems great for when u have an ammended soil mix,but what if you want to feed nutes? how could this work since it trickles slowly ,everyday switch from a nutrient tank to a water tank? that takes the laziness out of it :p
but either way your grow is looking really nice,,nice canopy forming

probably opens a valve whenever the sensor triggers, i remember seeing the link last week, i think he said 60 bucks for patio kit or something, anyway, ima google, this, seems perfect for a micro grow, looks stellar lap , grow em hard

I got the drippers set up the other night:
picture.php

The gravity feeding seems to be working great. All of the drippers have the same amount of pressure. I haven't really had to make any adjustments in the past 2 nights.

Those are the 4 separate lines coming out of the reservoir. Each of those lines are feeding to 20 plants.

Here are some plants:

Cheese

This one is MSS I believe:

And this one is FFA, or vice versa with the MSS:

nice lap, no runoff from the drippers? everything else looks awesome, just wondering on that, cause i hate runoff , its a pain in the ass with my small set up

No runoff at all shawk. If the valves are open too far, however, you're containers will become too saturated and you will end up with a puddle.
