love the boxes, definatly going that way next year. gophers destroyed about 10 plants this year, each plant site has to have good protection. bummer on the rain damage, but those Tri pods just won't cut it. need to get more of that steel 7.5' tall tomato caging... the plants are rock solid in those cages.

cheers on a good season!

Gophers and moles can be the worst thing ever to hit ya next to mold
line the botttom of the boxes with some fencing or (I use) nylon pest fencing, 1/2in squares stapled to the edges of the box

but those Tri pods just won't cut it. need to get more of that steel 7.5' tall tomato caging... the plants are rock solid in those cages.

Wont cut it?
how is that "not cutting it?"
Which picture isnt cutting for ya ?
So you think one cage around a 6 stalk plant is a rock solid bracing?

where's the pictures of your trees?????

what about the 6 foot radius of center branching that a cage doesnt support?
So throw up a cage and thats rock solid eh?
our cages werent so rock solid up on the hillside
branches go beyond the cages and break
still back-tying them to the cage
financially they are a bad choice, 10-16$ for a circle, per plant
or
$.70 per stake plus a few dollars for string

PLUS
all the care and attention individual attention tying gives

Where are your pictures of anything ???

Oh damn!

My partner left the crop for two hours the other day and we got hit. 5 plants gone in a flash.

Clean, neat, precise.
Neighbors talk of tweaker fuks casing the area on bikes, seeing bikes in woods etc...
They were good, cut through the fence neatly
grabbed them strings and CHOP!
Threw aside the bracing
4 cuts, one each massive branch
and over the fence to either a van or big pickup because 4 of those plants will FILL a covered pickup
No mess, no fuss, dropped like 2 leaves and about 1/2 oz of bud.
Musta wrapped it in a tarp.
Total bummer
PLUS
Is making the final push of harvest HELL!!!

Its still good, just unnerving
so everythings out, Ill try to update so trimmed closeups.

Goin solo next year is the plan

hello bud-boy - inspirational stuff, well done. made myself up some of your boxes for this yrs southern hemisphere grow (cheers) reverse problem down here - no gophers to eat the roots but possums eating ALL vegetative growth. are your thai/brasilian shots the kc33? having a go with it myself this year and been looking for some bud porn shots to see the finished results. again good on ya on an amazing garden - mahuta

Sorry to hear about the rippers. I have been there and I feel your pain. Try to keep a clear head and just work through the rest of your harvest. Be safe.
