MG organic and tube sand

I know MG is supposedly Shit but It's what was available. I mixed 75% MG organic potting soil with 25% quikrete tube sand for drainage. Did I screw up? I drilled about #50 .25" holes on the bottom. Some I joined together to make about #4 1" square holes. Also, I planted some fem WW seeds directly into the mix. How moist should it be, optimally? I used a 27 lb "tidy cat" cat litter container, am wondering how many Gallons that is. NO need to answer that one, I can find that out. And is it true that a good estimate is ~ 1 ounce/gallon of medium?

Also, the thing is only 10 days old but I THINK I see small (tiny) female preflowers. Possible or my imagination? I'll get a pic up soon---hopefully they show up.

Another Q--- I have the plant in a rectangular window planter, how long should I wait to transplant? It has the start of node #3. (node number 3 is about 1/2 done) I was thinking of transplanting when node four is established. Then Topping/Fimming after node 5, but cutting down to node 2 as I heard this will produce 4 main colas. Heres where I read that.

What do you all think?

Many more Questions but I don't want to muddy up this post.

probably! although this time of year it might be hard. look for a bunch of magnesium in the analysis. You don't want hydrated or quick lime.

Also try your local feed/garden/yard/farm type store. In the northeast there is a chain called agway, but down there is a different chain.

irie', it is light brown in colour, the limes maryjohn correctly says to avoid are pure white, the kids in the shop won't care it is the wrong one they are selling you so beware.
The dolomite will help buffer your PH too, it will be a great addition to your medium.
