Wine Fridge Medical Cab

You could then slide the new sub-floor bottom up on those rods to raise the plants and scrog screen to the appropriate light level to start, and drop the whole floor down over the course of your grow, as required. That approach is not that expensive and will allow you to make the most out of your vertical height while keeping the whole interior bright, organized and clean :)

if your wanting vertical motion for light adjustment then i think you might like a linear guide with a maual clamp. you can find them here. there are a few different types to chose from. they give a nice clean appearence and they look cool as hell man!! im definitely trying one in my build.

Hopefully I can resume on this project soon, been working lots of hours, can barely keep up with the aero PC. I won't likely have the time for a couple weeks but I will have good time to work on it and it should pregress rapidly. My goal is to have it running before the PC harvests. I can't wait to get back to work on that fridge, having day dreams of 250w HID spears.

I did get the time to dig out the cooling solution. I ran three differnt centrifugal fans and this one was the quietest, also consumes the least power. This fan is actually very quiet, no hum just the air whoosh!! It's energy star rated to boot.. This will eliminate lots of cooling troubles, going to work the first time, even if I decide to use a scrubber. Any ideas where I might fit a scrubber?

Is the fan going to be internal or external?

When I'm designing things in my head, I like the idea of the carbon screen idea which I use. If you were to have a carbon screen up near the roof say, you would have a very large surface area with little loss of space, but it does introduce different challenges.

Edit: Is the thermal protection going to be an issue?

Few questions I would have about scrubber placement is:
Are you going to be trying to retain a stealthy outwards appearance?
what supplies do you have to work with other then the fan?
were about is this going to be located?

I love my chimney scrubber and will be modifying that for better performance between grows next time around.
Do you currently have a scrubber you can cut to fit in the cab and pull through?
How is your lighting going to be put together are you building a height adjustable cool fixture or just mounting with a reflector?

I like the idea of a thin scrubber with lots of surface area, that is probably the only way it will work unless I want to push air through a huge can filter..

The fan will be outside the cab for sure, I don't think the thermal protection will be a problem, last time I used this fan it was cooling 2 X 250w CMH in a 24" cool tube (no scrubber) and it never shut down from the heat. Move air fast enough and it doesn't seem to heat up too much.

Stealth isn't an issue it's going to stay in the garage and out of sight with the door open. I should use a scrubber so the smell doesn't get out of the garage though.

I don't have any scrubber yet, lighting will be a single 250 CMH dead center with a custom made vented reflector that will pull air right above the bulb. Fixed lighting no adjustment, might make the sump adjustable though.

Aero,
Have done a ghetto version of Scrubs idea before, helped...but not 100 percent. It will work, if you have the right thickness and your fan is at the right speed. His idea would require less room, so if you can make it work cool...if not a DIY scrubber will work...on the outside. Dont think you will have enough room on the inside, they are big...but they work. Am sure you can disguise it in a garage. Good luck, have similar size cab.

Slowandeasy, thanks for the input, you are right, being in a garage makes it pretty easy since I don't have to worry about stealth. I still plan to disguise it next to a real working wine fridge half the size. As long as it doesn't smell like a skunk it will be out of sight out of mind.

my idea would take a bit of work, but it would add to stealth(even tho your not looking for it, it never hurts.). its like Scrubs idea but useing a gutted microwave. its pretty easy to find one around the right width to match the wine fridge. and, depending on the amount of area you use for the scrubber, you may also have enough room left over for your remote ballast, timer, and outlet strip. i know it sounds like alot of work but it was just an idea that i was throwing around for another build that iv got in mind(lol im sure most of my ideas sound like alot of work but i dont believe in the kiss formula when it comes to building things.) im sure whatever idea you come up with will be pretty awsum. peace bro

Yeah I was just coming back to suggest this! I was going to say a rubbermaid style container like I use on top of the cupboard...but microwave is good too. Even something like a dehumidifier if you did feel like stealth. They're loud and blow hot air out. The perfect object.

Damn, how did I miss this? :lurk: Signed up, also...

I'm digging the microwave on top... all you need is a photo of wine bottles for the door, and then sooper-sekrit!

You continue to amaze me... if I could only give you more rep!

Aero has been very busy. This is lmlekorl here. He has been working his arse off, getting the shit done... you know. I have pictures of his final grow of the hogsbreath that he still needs to post, but I don't want to post for him, might get booted. He has some great Ideas for the fridge, and is wating to have the time to start building on it. He appologizes for the delay.
