Tiny white/yellow bugs flying million's of them

Having this problem with these little bugs white or yellow that are multiplying everyday. Leave their eggs on the under sides of leaves. Then they leave sappy stuff on the leaves. I'm also in like week 4-5 flowering, with DM Gold w/ B'Cuzz additive's. I need help so bad please!!!! All soil, but there was a there was a hydro cloner mister type. That had alot of net pots with nothing in them so there basically open. thia could be a problem that started it, I don't know I'm guessing now!

Whitefly...

Try rubbing alcohol and water mix - 2 water one alcohol...

Spritz plants liberally - top to bottom, underside too...

Ventilate well.

Repeat...

whiteflies^^
I didn't know about the alcohol. I'd try it. It won't leave a residue right?

Right - the alcohol evaps, and it's just the water carrier. Lotsa breeze, and she's dry, and clean. No mold.

Thanks, and what about a Fungicide 3-1 has insecticide for whiteflies ect., and miticide for spider mites? I.ve used it and I'm in week 4-6 flowering from flip, is the alcohol going to be better at this period, because the stuff I'm using is Garden Safe and it says that you can spray up till 1 week before harvest.

I've had whiteflies for about 24 years. Get Doktor Doom total release fogger for now, use once a week. For long term parasitic wasps will eat 99.8% of them... They just showed up one day, cool little bugs.

IMHO not in the 4th or 5th week of flower - veg growth, sure - flower, not so much...
That's neem oil in that Fungicide 3/1.
I wouldn't use it anymore if I was you.
Nor would I - the alcohol I suggested evaporates, leaves nothing but water carrier, and that dries too.

WHOA WHOA WHOA!

DO NOT tell him to spray alchohol on the plants in flowering!!

Wow. Are you crazy dude? Jesus.
That will destroy and dissolve all of the trichomes!

Us a "No Pest Strip" and seal the room at night with no ventilation, and use low ventilation during the day.

Yes I would say its likely. I used to get them in the soil also. You can use the Doktor Doom until the last day of flowering, totally nontoxic...

"They will destroy and dissolve all of the trichomes!"

I wonder how they make that ISO then?:dueling:

:joint:

Yeah, I smoke ISO all of the time. ISO is dissolved trichomes as you know.

Thats my point exactly. You dont want to DISSOLVE all of the trichomes when they are still on the plant.
You dont spray alcohol on a flowering plant. Thats kind of a no-brainer yo. :bashhead:

Correction - Spraying 2 to 1 water and alcohol on week 4 or 5 flowering will have negligible effect on harvest weeks later.

He has whiteflies, the treatment kills them, leaves nothing behind, and the plants love the water/alcohol shower. Like candy.

So, Mr.H - while I appreciate your zeal, your comments are unwarranted, and plain misguided.

Youre telling me that spraying a solution of 33% alcohol would be good for your newly developed trichomes and pistils? Then you told him to repeat? :/

Ive used the alcohol method and numerous others for numerous pests. There are other ways to eradicate those flys.

But Okay.. Go ahead, keep spraying your buds with alcohol.

I will now make my way out of this thread... Later homie! :)

I don't know about this method, but imho the no pest works but does take them off the leaves, and all the eggs. My White Widow's are covered in trics. Like you read about, I need something to help the sappy leaves, and eggs. Anymore suggestions out there?

If you can stand there and watch them flying around i found that Raid flying insect spray (in blue can) works on the Whitefly pretty damn good. You can watch them drop dead as you spray...just don't get it on your plants..if you get a little overspray on them rinse them off with water in a spray bottle.
Yeah Whitefly is a mother They suck the moisture right out of your plants

I've never had a major whitefly infestation but I have had a few of them. I used a low power car vacuum cleaner and sucked up as many of the flies and eggs as I could and then used a no pest strip. Problem solved.

Now if your grow is large and heavily infested, the vacuum thing probably wouldn't be too easy to do...
