Mossy's Jem & Diesel Ryder Test Grow Using IceColdCricket's Method

I

IceColdCrickets

Im just starting a comparison testing group with other Organic Ferts available in the world as Fox Farm POM is hard to find in other countries. I will make all my results known soon.

As for using any organic fert for my method I would have to say NO, The FoxFarm POM Fruit and Flower Dry Mix contains a well ballanced mix of fast and slow release organic material, along with micro bio organisms. I will be looking for such a good product in many countries and post my results with them.

The ICC Organic Method , is based on Fox Farm Ocean Forest Potting Mix and Fox Farm Peace of Mind Dry Mix Fruit and Flower Fertilizer (the Only subsitute for the Fertilizer is Black Gold brand Rose and Flower) any other fertilizer/soil mix is unknown to me at this time. If you follow the directions of the ICC Method you will get great plants as long as all other requirments are met, ie. lighting, air flow, no pest infestation, ect...

If you can find Epsoma Plant-Tone or Bio-Tone I would give that a try. They are both organic slow release fertilizers with microbes just like Fox Farms Peace Of Mind.

Here's some links to those products for comparisons;

Fox Farms Peace Of Mind (5-5-5)

Epsoma Bio-Tone (4-3-3)

Epsoma Plant-Tone (5-3-3)

I think Epsoma just started adding their Bio-Tone to all their 'tone' products, so they should all contain beneficial microbes now

I'm planning on taking them down in 2 weeks (70 days), but I'll see what they look like then. I'm more concerned about the seeds fully ripening than I am the buds.

I do have to say great try with the ICC method, LOVE THAT PURPLE MOSSY'S JEM! she is a true champ!! but whats with the split stems???

They look ok but you really need to dial in that HEAT problem... what are they running at because they look like they have been exposed to the fires of hell for a bit. Which it would seem to be effecting the total end result, looser buds and not as much resin development as normally seen on the DR and JEMS.

More info and results using this method will come shortly.

You are going to love those DR and JEM nuggs!

You don't like the split stem? I thought it was kinda cool myself haha.

It came from supercropping that branch. I like the shot cuz it shows how tough mj plants are.

I've got the heat issue handled. I think the Diesel Ryder just didn't bounce back like the other two did (and like ya said, even those two were affected by the heat also).

I might have to switch to a smaller container for this cab. It fits 2 goldfish containers (wide and deep) with no room to spare. When I say no room, I mean you couldn't fit a piece of paper between the 2 containers or a container and the wall of the cab.

Remember Mossy's Jem 5?

picture.php

I had pulled her out of the cab to give the other three plants more room. I didn't kill this plant, instead I stuck it in the corner of my 600w hps cab.

Here she is after 25 days of 12/12 under the 600hps. She hasn't really gotten much taller, but boy has she gotten pretty!

I managed to collect a small bit of pollen from the runty male Mossy's Jem 4 and used it to pollinate the upper cola of this Mossy's Jem 5.

This is my first Mossy's Jem x Mossy's Jem cross. It doesn't look like I'll get that many seeds, but every bit will help as I'm almost out of the Mossy's Jem seeds I was gifted.

Thanks for the compliments Mossy! They really mean a lot!

I'm totally in awe of how the purple literally creeps up the leaf in the Mossy's Jems! The pictures really don't do it justice.

The leaves aren't really 'turning' purple, it is more like a Mossy (lol couldn't help myself) growth overtaking the leaf.

M8..you Really deserve it..you have done a Cracking job.
You and ICC between you are gonna make me try that air blasted fert tea.
I cannot wait to give it a shot..if I can find alternate ferts.

and you alone made me determined to brush upon my photography.
I showed those JEM photos you took to everyone in the UK..and they couldn't believe them.

I'll be back and forwards..but first question..girl above..do you have her seeded...?
THAT is the pheno that I have marked down as the HIGH Kush dom.
She is the one that I got the Black DC with.
(On ALF#3 for me but belonging to JEM-Line)
Keep her seed seperate to the rest...she produces Super Models.. ;)

BTW..I always singe a couple in the grow cupboard..so they still look good to me..:D
when I started rolling the 100% AF-ers..
I kept some of every line at the standard 12-14 inch phenos..especially for Me for the grow cupboard..less burn..
and went for 20-24 inchers for outdoor for larger yield..
so you are not the Only one....:biglaugh:

You have a very nice very Typical JEM tric pattern on one of your Whites.
It is the pattern that I class as my high THC indicator.
I've played around with the tric formation a few times and I can make it more showy..more uniform..more cover..but for strength..
I don't think many can beat it.
It is what I look for.

The pictures really don't do it justice.
They do all of them more justice than I can do.
You show the best of them.
You will understand immediately when I say the JEM's aren't show-off's..
until the outer fans die off you do not see them in their full glory.
To really see a JEM before that you have to look up her skirts..:D

You have it captured perfect..the angle you take the photos show all the under leaf and stalk and bud colour together.
They are Great.

That JEM 5..leaf colour....stunning.

DR is looking cute as a button too.
She has a nice formation/bud sites to her.
Looks as if she is gonna be a nice yielder too.
Looking forward to a smoke report.........:joint:

I've never got to grow a Diesel myself..but everything I see says Good.

What is the smell like in comparrison now they are nearly finished..?

Hope you can find some ferts that work for tea (I would have to guess any organic bloom fert would be fine) cuz I'd love to see your results with it.

Thanks but there are many on this site with far better photo skills than me. The subject is the largest part, without your genetics there wouldn't be those pretty shots!

Yes she is seeded but not with Mossy's Jem pollen.

I keep all my seeds separate. Even tho I will have a couple Mossy's Jem x Masterlow crosses going, all the seeds will be labeled and kept in separate bags.

Here's the breakdown of current seeds in production.

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Mossy's Jem 3 (Green Mossy's Jem)

mossy'sjem3 x 'early' (early is guerilla gold 2, guerilla gold 5 or manitoba medicine)
mossy'sjem3 x masterlow

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Mossy's Jem (ICC Method)

mossy'sjem x masterlow

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Diesel Ryder (ICC Method)

dieselryder x masterlow

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Mossy's Jem 5

mossy'sjem x mossy'sjem

Yea I'm not too worried about them, it's the seeds I want this round. Plus it was the first run for this cab, so I wasn't sure how it ran heatwise for a full run.

You have a very nice very Typical JEM tric pattern on one of your Whites.

Yea it is more resiny than the purple jems imo. I wish I would have had some Mossy's Jem pollen at the time I hit it up, but I only got a tiny bit recently and that all went to impregnate Mossy's Jem 5.

They do all of them more justice than I can do.
You show the best of them.

Thanks, I just got lucky with a lot of shots. Personally I also like whole plant shots from various angles. I mean bud closeups are always pretty, but you can't tell how a plant grows from them.

That JEM 5..leaf colour....stunning.

Yea it blows me away everytime I see it when I open my cab. It just sticks out and says Look at me!

DR is looking cute as a button too.
She has a nice formation/bud sites to her.
Looks as if she is gonna be a nice yielder too.
Looking forward to a smoke report.........:joint:

I've never got to grow a Diesel myself..but everything I see says Good.

First run for me too. I'm glad I will have some Diesel Ryder x Masterlow seeds, but I plan on running it again. I have 2 seeds of it left, so hopefully I can get a male and female and make more, else I'll have to be satisfied with the crosses.

What is the smell like in comparrison now they are nearly finished..?

Hehe, I hate giving smell/taste/smoke reports, but I will try.

The Mossy's Jem ICC Method and Mossy's Jem 5 have a kinda fruity smell to them. Mossy's Jem 5 has a slight peppery smell to me. The first Mossy's Jem I took down a couple weeks ago also smelled real peppery to me. It's been sitting in a jar since chop and the peppery smell is mellowing out a bit.

Diesel Ryder smells a bit diesely, but nothing overwhelming.

Mossy's Jem 3 (green Mossy's Jem) has a light lemony or citrusy smell to her.

Absolutely beautiful looking ladies man!!! you said that they were gifted to you but where did the gifter find the mossy jems? iagain man beautiful job on the grow! peace.
