2KW Medical Coco grow

Hi everyone, very excited to have found these great forums. Wanted to share along with my first coco grow.

Room size:
11 x 7.5 with 8 foot ceilings. The room has been covered in Black and White Poly including the ceiling.
I am using two 4x4 Botanicare Trays to hold the plants sitting ontop of a frame made of 2x8's ontop of cinder blocks.

Light/Power:
Two Lumateck 1000W 120/240 Ballast (using 240) Eye Hortilux bulbs and the new Magnum XXXL hoods!! DYI - $80.00 4 light controler and it works great! http://www.hydroponics.net/learn/grow-light-controller.asp

Ventilation:
One Vortex 6" fan for exhuast pulling air thru each light in a T and outside of the room thru the CAN66. Two wall mounted fans and 1 small intake fan bringing fresh air into the room. Room has been hovering around 80 with the lights on. 70's without the lights. CapAir 4 with the exhaust fan pluged in, co2 and regulator. .

Nutes:
Currently using: Cana Coco A&B, Rhitzotonic, Bushmaster ( Day 8 and 10 )
Also have: pk13, Canazyme and Snowstorm Ultra - Have not used these yet..

Medium:
Cana Coco in 3 gallon smart pots. Home Depot Paint bucket lids to collect runoff. I am handwatering and have build colection bins under the tables for the runoff using plastic tubs.

Currently in the room Bubba X Master, Sour Diesel and MK Ultra

I will take some pics with a better camera this evening. Currently the room is on 18/6 veg cycle. I will flip them in a week or so.

Not sure how long to expect on the Kush, I was thinking 65-70 days for the Sour D. I plan on keeping the sour d bushy and trying to not let it stretch, especially growing kush next to it..

Subscribed instantly. I am running a 1800w 2:1 FFOF:CoCo grow so it should be cool to compare and contrast.

Also, I really like your trays. I have an 8x4 room and after viewing this thread and your trays......I think I MIGHT just go Ebb&Flo in coco my next run but only time will tell. I'm super super stoned and i havnt said anything and I feel like im rambling.

not sure what the legal #s are in CO but how many girls will you be running per table?

oregonic, CO allows 6plants/3flowering per patient, OR "whatever is medically necessary" (doc can recommend more)

Sour Diesel 7th day of Veg ( 1st real days directly under the light )

* I picked up the orange lids from Home Depot, the seem to be working great to catch extra runoff, I got the idea from Lazyman I beleive... After watering at night I come back and all runoff is gone

Liking the Kush, The guys are the store were saying the Cana A&B can be used at full strength I used 8ml per gallon (recomendations were for 8-12) and had instant burn, so I have dropped down to 4ml A&B.

Next batch of Sour D clones

No rooting gel, just razor blade, plugs, water and ocasional light nutes, very light.. And the dome with the airholes open..

I also picked up an LA Confidental clone from the store ( My fav strain to smoke when done right ) but its looking sick, please help..

Any ideas what to do about that? The clone came in a cube surrounded by coco and a little perlite

that coco looks a little wet, is it always that wet?

mrred -The orange things are Home Depot orange bucket lids.

I think they were like $1.27 a pop!!! I have been feeding once a day with 2L per plant. I make a nut res each night with 3 gallons. That plant had been under floro and pic was taken day #1 in Veg Room. I dont think she had time to absorb the water..

I am thinking about going to every other day for feeding after reading the entire hand water thread not sure what to so. Eveyone has there own methods.

Whats everyone else think? I am using 3 gallon smart pots. All plants seem healty aside from the new LA that I dunked in Neim and may just take a while to recover.

let the coco get really dry before you water it again, it'll allow more oxygen to the roots, even if its bone dry on top there could still be useable water in the pot/root/leaf/stems i'd also just set the pots on the tray so their not in danger or sitting in water,

Some updates on the room..

Bubba x Master next to there moms. The clones are a bit yellow compared to the mother.

I had a weird power spike today while working downstairs, power went on and off for a second and the lights turned off and then back on. I didnt notice but one of the lights didnt come on. After about 20 minutes I realized and shut the power off to both lights for another 20 min. All seems to be going well..

I am currently watering the clones daily with 4ml A&B Cana per gallon. Thinking about doing a Rhizo feeding next round, with no other nutes and then following up with a water flush.

Smart Bags!! Wow, not even 2 weeks and they are growing out the bottom!

Is this typical in coco and smartbags?

the bottom isnt getting enough air because its in the lids so it , i never used smart pots but i thin the ideal of auto root pruning pots shold kill the end of the root tip fore it can leaeve the bag so another root tip grow frm the main stalk, you should at least grow sitting the pots directly on the tray, why did you put the smart pots in the lids again?

I saw a thread that lazyman did about top feeding and bottom feeding. I top feed by hand pouring, adding the lids allows for the plant to also bottom feed. I had never seen root development that fast, maybe the coco, or the coco and smart pots+ lids

I make sure to get 10-20% runoff filling the lids and having excess drain into the trays and then into my catch bins to avoid salt build ups. Just flipped the lights today, very excited to see the next chapter

I used to grow in soil/pots and once I switched to coco the growth of the roots is explosive The results have been outstanding and the pure simplicity of growing in coco is priceless imo

Sour D near tray, BubaxMaster and MK Ultra far tray

The Sour D is taking off as expected, may have to work on topping her early or bending down as im guessing they will chase the light int he early stretch. I took a few rooted cuttings and thru them into the smart bags as well, not as big as I would have liked to veg them but wondering how they compare to there sisters.

The Kush all seem to be similiar sizes with one mom I decided to flip in the far right. I figures I didnt need 2 BubaxMaster moms, space was an isssue and would like to see how it yeilds compared to her daughters sitting beside!

I noticed one of the sour D plants is producing 3 point leaves? WTF
