Trimmer on eBay - opinions needed!

Found this neat looking trimmer on eBay, I spent hours looking for one like that (with a see through top) elsewhere on the net but no success.

It says it uses stainless wires for cutting, wouldn't blades be better?

Anyone got input on this or has one?

Thanks!

on edit: I guess a picture helps!
A little bit big but that's how it shows on eBay

ITEM PRICE WILL GO UP IN THE NEAR FUTURE!!:yoinks::laughing: I like how this is added in that e-bay advert, look at it this way,the item itself has no electrics etc, looks like a kitchen item,if it wasnt associated with cannabis how much would it cost to buy?How much does it cost to make in china(and it is indeed made in the PRC)that vendors making several hundred dollars profit on each one he sells.

I'm sure the guys making money but, this thing could be a real time saver. A full ScrOG takes me about 10-13 hours to trim. That thing could probably do it in 2-3. I could see it "paying" for itself pretty fast.

Thats true freezer, but I would rather do a little online research and get the trimmer or the electric version and still have change jingling in my pocket from $100,but I guess as long as there are people willing to pay $499 then the e-bay vendor will be happy to pocket the excess cash :2cents:

Post up a link where they are less than $100.
I was a little slow on this post.

Do these things come in more than one diameter? I've noticed several ads don't actually state the size.

Oh hells yeah!! I am all over one if it can be had for $100ish. It is unreal that the manual trimmers are sold for $500, FOR FAHKING WHAT!!!? It seriously can not cost $15 to make. I really want one but the price is just way too much for what it is. '

I really want one, but I just can not bring myself to pull the trigger until I find a good deal.

So has anyone made contact with the China hydro place yet? I'll bet with the shipping it would still be a steal.

Thanks for the link.

I have contacted them,,

it is a little under $200 a pop BUT you have to buy 100 or so...

So yes the profit is there when selling for $500+ BUT they did toss their $17k+ investment in getting those trimmers over here.

It isn't $100 or UNDER $100 BUT it is around $160-$180 BEFORE shipping. How do I know? Because I actually contacted the above china hydro shop a couple weeks ago.

Here is what the invoice said,

Stainless Steel Manual Spin Trimmer 100 units $170.00/piece $17,000.00 BEFORE shipping

They can be had for $170 PLUS shipping IF you buy in bulk..

$15 to make? really.

Have you actually looked how these things are setup? Even if you bought in HUGE bulk amounts it would cost more simple due to the mechanical b.s. that goes into this (SIMPLE) TRIMMERS.

Do they cost exactly $170+ shipping to make? NOPE but one thing people forget is that people work for a living and with these people working things COST MORE.

Now if you found the metal, had the ability to manufacture by yourself with no issue dealing with costs, insurance, workers, building costs then SURE $15 fuck it, odds are about that price

Well guys I have one coming, should get here by the end of this week! :jump: I'll keep ya all posted how it works!

And as far as the ones on that website someone posted  - I rather have one this week for $499 than 100 of them for $170/each PLUS shipping PLUS import duties PLUS brokerage fees plus plus plus...!

PS: The dude said he has an electric version of that exact trimmer as well. Cost only a bit more! (I forgot how much exactly)

Yeah I am with you there, but it's China. There is probably a factory full of 8yr olds working 28hr days banging out 10,000 pieces a day, that's gotta lower the overhead some.

I did contact them and they said 200 pieces:yoinks: was min order to where I am...That's a whole lot of trimmers that this guy does not need, we are talking pallets of them.

Oh well, the search continues.

You dont have to get 200 pieces,.....

buddymate thanks for all that mumble jumble about how to get rich quick by buying trimmers from China...but I wanted only one and not 10 or 100 or whatever and I have far more efficient ways to make money than ordering a dozen trimmers from China just to make a little profit here and there plus the headache of selling them on eBay and elsewhere...

Good luck though with your little venture!
