Hello there,

I'm doing a micro-grow for a while now. First i had only males, but now I'm left with 2 beautiful women :jump: Tough everything takes a little longer than with a HPS lamp, it's going nicely till now. The plants are in week 4 of 12/12 and are flowering for 2 weeks right now. The Terra FLORES did gave just the boost they needed to flower a little bit quicker. You can see I have the plants Topped and Fimmed.

My setup:

4x CFL 20 watt (equel to 45 watt's)
Medium is special 'ground' mix from the local growshop
Nutrients: Terra FLORES
Water: Rain (if possible) and SPA BLUE (ph!!)
PC fan 12v
Radiation foil for reflection

Enough talking:

The 'closet' Stealth eh ...For the energy bills

Green Porn, If I remember well both are FreeBee's from ******Seeds BLUE KRONIC x Jack

Hope you like it, and for any sugestions or questions you're always welcome!

(sorry for the sometimes bad english)

Hi there!
Thanks for the reply :)
So you noticed :woohoo: Nice music for sure!

I won't be posting updates every day, because everthing is going in slow-motion with the CFL's..(with only 4 of them) More like weekly :D

Thnx for the replies!

Hello Grouchy,

The plants are kept close to the light by boxes and stuff, after this round I'll build a frame for the lamps so I can adjust them in height.

The supercropping thing seems not so hard, but should I crop my sterm or just the branches?

You would crop the stem. I would put the plants toward the back of the cab and bend the stem so that the plants lay down under the light. There are pics in my thread that shows a plants that has been bent over. It is the large plant in the pics.

Hi there,

I've bin doubting about the supercropping. Think it will work great, but isn't right now the time to place a net, and go SCROG? Or maybe first supercropping, and then SCROG? The problem is, the CFL's don't have that much of intensety in the downside of my cabin. The light's just aren't powerfull enough to reach the lowest leaves. Maybe it's a great idea (since i can not move the lamps this round) to go for a SCROG?

Since my lamps are attached to the roof... I could hang a nice net and try to grow it full?!

I'd like some opinions on this one please :listen2:

It might be too late for the scrog. You want to partially fill the screen before flipping to 12/12. With the supercropping you can get a nice flat area on your plants that you can stick up next to the light. I would bend it over so that as much of the plants as possible is laying flat. Maybe make an x in the cab with the two plants you got.

Oke, I'm gonna try it. Would it be smart to add a screen after the supercropping?

Thanks for the replies, and by the way, your garden looks very nice!

Thanks for the kind words.

You probably won't need a screen. You could look into holding it down with some string tied to the pot so it doesn't spring back. A screen could do it to but it would make it hard to move the plants around for watering.

Jaapie,
You plants look REALLY healthy! They are a little stretched but that may be because of the warm CFLs.

If you want to reduce stretch in the plant replace some of those warm(2700K) cfls for daylight(6500K) cfls. Its best to do this early on in the grow during the veg stage. Than when you flower switch them back to 2700K.

Looks good so far... I'll be watching for updates. I would think about LST (Limited Stresst Training) if you have the space..

@ Grouchy, Youre welcome! Thinking about the LST, looks some more "safer" than the supercropping.

@Mk3Jetta, Thanks man! Since I didn't know much about thos training methods for plants, they stretched very much at the beginning so I could not stop it anymore :(.. I use 6500K for growing and 2700K for flowering :)

@lmv391, You are doing nice to I see! Thank you very much about the LST idea.. it might be a bit late, but I'm still going for it!

Posting pic's one of these days, thanks for the replies all!!!

The supercropping is almost the exact same as lst with just one bend as opposed to continual training. You are a little late for lst as it is usually done in the veg period. I found it is "safer" to pinch the stems before bending them if you are going for a right angle bend. I take a small set of needle nose pliers and gently pinch the stem from both sides. This makes the stem limp and the plant will lay down for you. If you don't pinch the stem first it can snap on you when you try to bend it. When the stem heals where it was pinched it makes a big fat knot in the stem. The area that gets fat will actually flow more nutrients and those stems usually have better growth. They pinch the stems at the base of tomato plants to increase the growth for this same reason. Not trying to rush you but you will want to do something real soon as you are already 4 weeks into flowering right now. You normally don't want to do anything to stress the plants during the second half of flowering as it can reduce the yield.

@ Grouchy, The needle thing sounds a lot safer indeed! I'm gonna try out some thing today and post the results this evening! Yeah, it was not planned that they would grow out of the cab... But it's needed right now :) Thanks for the help man, appreciate it very much!

@Fuzz420, Hi there! Thanks for your reply, I didn't remember the strain.. Hoping for that Monstre too! :hotbounce

WARNING: THIS UPDATE CONTAINS EXPLICT CONTENT:canabis::laughing:

The ladies are doing great, no problems so far... I just could not stop thinking about the LowStressTraining, so I potted 3 extra LowRyders (******)! Just going to play with them and learn extra stuff :)

The supercropping went well, also did the advice with the needle. Already after 2 hours, the tops and leaves are searching for the light, that's a good sign!:woohoo: Though, the plants are now ever more further removed from the lights, so even more stretching?

Time for some pic's huh?

Here you can see "the snap's"

Supporting with some thin rope:

Close-up: Topped and now also Supercropped

The new baby's:

Now I'm going to let them rest a few days, and let 'm come by of all the abusing :bigeye:
