Mini Caddy grow box good?

I am renting a small place right now and want to do a cabinet grow until next year when I move into a bigger house. I was thinking about buying a full size 6 foot tall cabinet and modifying it but an aquaintence is selling a mini caddy grow box http://www.sunlightsheds.com/mini-caddy.htm for about 30% of what they go for new and he only use it for 2 months.

Does anyone think it is possible to produce a decent yield in this thing? (6-8 oz) or should I just spend the same amount of money and make my own? Any reviews would be helpfull, thanks.

I personally never liked sunlight sheds. I have heard that the customer support they offer is really bad and the build quality of the product is very low. I would agree with the other response that building your own is definitely the best idea. However if you have it in your mind that you want to go with pre-built grow box I've heard nothing but good things about homegrown hydroponics at http://www.homegrown-hydroponics.com. but seriously though you can go to Home Depot and buy a cabinet for like $90 and get a light and timers to build a hydroponic system all pretty much right there the the hardware store. Building your own is pretty fun...

I'm just wondering since I can buy this thing for 400 bucks from a buddy who never finished a grow in it. It will probably cost me a couple hundred more to get a whole c-13 type cab setup. I'm just wondering if anyone has tried one or if anyone thinks a decent yield is possible with this thing?

For $400, as opposed to $1400, yeah its probably not a terrible deal. The one issue I read about a lot on these pre-built boxes is ventillation issues, so maybe be prepared to add more intake holes and a circulating fan or two. But yeah, I don't see why you couldn't get decent yields out of it. No way could you piece it together for $400, either.
