Grow Shop Surveillance

My buddy just informed me that our local (and only) grow shop in Milwaukee (Brew and Grow) has had a unmarked car parked across the street with someone in it the last 3 times he has gone there. He mentioned some of the stimulus was appropriated for these kinds of things..i obviously am upset and irritated about this. The next closest shop is 70 miles away.Has anyone else noticed any strange activity in their local stores lately? I like to pay cash for my stuff, and not order things through the mail if at all possible..this obviously is going to make things more complicated..what are your thoughts on this matter? With all of the problems facing this country currently i think this money would be better off spent on something more important than grow shop surveillance. This is BULLSHIT! ob

You can either online order to a safe location, send someone else to the store for you (I never liked that idea), or go and park way the fuck away if you aren't getting anything big and walk, or go and see if he follows you. If your grow op isn't the same as the address linked to your license plate then all they have is you (which is too much!) I don't know bro. That sucks. Fucking assholes.

i used to go to brew n grow, not the one you mentioned but another one close by. they sell beer making shit there for a reason man, cover. go in drink a few beers and chat, don't go right in and start looking at hydro shit. borrow a car, or have somebody else go. or just order it from their website, they have a lot of discounted shit on there.

Cops watching Grow shops has been going on now for a while. If you want to see the history of it and its continued use google "Operation Green merchant" and you should be able to see some of the dirty, low tactic's that are still being used today. If your hydro shop is being checked out you DO NOT want to go there as the cops will use just that as reason to come pay you a visit. Find a different shop or order off the net. I know this because they did this very same thing in Northern Cali in the early 90's. They will use local cops and then make them Federal Marshall's thus turning it into a federal matter. Then they go to the local shop and tell them that if they don't allow them to watch people from their business they will be charged with crime of aidding and conspiracy. Of course the shop owners will fold and allow them to do so. Then they bring the pain. I hope that everything works out for you.

Being a transplant from Milwaukee to Cali, also being familiar with the harsh (once got a $692 ticket, for a pipe) laws in the area, I wouldn't buy anything you can't get at home depot and for lights, filters, and fans, best bet is ebay.

Jeez, check norml out mang... IL is better than WI but either place you go to prison for growing. Come on out to Cali

I was freaked out the last time I went to my local hydro store also. As I was stopped at a light a few blocks up from the store, I noticed a white tahoe with blakced out windows and rims sitting in the turn lane across from me. He did a quick U-turn before the light turned green for me so I decided to drive passed the store and turned down a couple roads and circled back.

As I was sitting at the next light, I then saw the same tahoe go through the intersection hauling ass. I decided to pull into the store this time, got everything I needed and got out of there as fast as possible.

As I was getting into my car, the same fucking tahoe drove by me. I was scared out of my mind and it took me probably an extra 45 minutes to get home because I was turning down every other road.

It could have just been a cop doing routine traffic patrols but in such a vehicle? Maybe I'm a little paranoid but it scared the hell outta me.

Which is probably the only reason I'm glad that I can't grow any longer as it's not gonna be possible in the house we're moving in to.

If you're relatively healthy 70 miles is not that far off for a safer bet IMHO. I used to walk that to the hydro store ... in 4 feet of snow ... uphill ... there and back.

i drive out of state when i have to get anything more than a few blocks of coco. I'd rather make a 4 hour drive than go to one of a couple shops within an hour of me and be tailed or have cops waiting at my door when i get home.

Alert the customer base and possibly one of the store workers. The same situation happened down here in TX a few months ago. Situation solved itself when some dumbfuck/ex friend went in and bought $3k worth of lighting equipment and carbon. Had his door kicked in 5 days later and was charged by "federal marshalls" (aka local officers the DEA sanctions for a single op).

Post this up on Craigslist and any other local gardening forums you know. While most won't think too much of an undercover being at a grow shop, the ones who need to will. The faster you get this info out the better.
