Those that chop before "sunrise" claim it provides a better smell/taste. However, these plants are at their most limp. Trimming limp plants is a major pain. I chop just after "sunrise" for easier trimming.

After 12 hours of ...? Light? It wouldn't harm the plant but, may affect taste as such plants will be more full of whatever is in the water. You can use plain water the last week or three so that mineral content is as low as possible.

Being a water cure kinda guy (which removes most taste and smell) I simply prefer the greater ease of trimming stiff leaves and stems rather than limp ones.

Sorry I do not remember who it it was but someone one here said he swears by 3 days of no light at all right before harvest to get the plant to "eat" the chlorophyll and he said it gives a very smooth smoke.

Man I have read so many messages on here about curing that I would not swear to it but if I remember correctly he only trimmed large fan leaves until dry, I will try to find the post and link it here.

???? My plants don't droop or go limp before "sunrise", dunno, what thats about Freezerboy?

I usually cut right before "sunrise", because I've read the THC is highest before the lights turn on. I'll take out the ones I want to harvest, put them in a dark room, and go get them one at a time as I'm trimming.

I chop 4 hours after lights out... I cant remember where I picked that up, probably around here somewhere, but I read that its the time it takes for the plants saps to go back down into the stem and roots (could be a complete fairytale but I swear by it, and it seems to work)

edit - a friend of mine pulled his out of his room and left them in the dark for 48 hours while he got his trimmng together and noticed that the orange hairs had become a lot more apparent after this time - he reckons its a way to make sure they're finished off....I dunno...could be...
